Engelberg v. Sur La Table

If you used a credit card to purchase merchandise or return merchandise for a credit card refund at any Sur La Table store located in the State of California between March 3, 2006 and May 13, 2008 you might be a class member in a class action known as Engelberg v. Sur La Table, Inc. et al., case number BC 367459 in the California Superior Court for the County of Los Angeles. A proposed settlement of this class action has been reached, and if you are a class member, this will affect your legal rights.

As part of the proposed settlement, Class members who timely file a valid Claim Form are eligible to receive a single Gift Card for $5.00 for use at any California Sur La Table store or on Sur La Table’s official website (with certain limitations). Regardless of the number of purchases or returns a Class Member may have made during the class period, each Class Member that files a timely and valid Claim Form is eligible to receive a single Gift Card. Sur La Table may verify the accuracy of information set forth in any submitted Claim Form and may require proof of purchase.

You must act on or before October 5, 2008 to make a claim under the proposed settlement. You must act on or before August 11, 2008 to request to be excluded from the settlement or to object to the proposed settlement. If you do not request to be excluded from the settlement before August 11, 2008, you will be deemed to have released Sur La Table, Inc. from all claims described in the full notice.
