Winner of Season 8 Top Chef All-Stars, Richard Blais is a successful chef, restaurateur, cookbook author and television personality. He trained at CIA, French Laundry and Chez Panisse, runs five restaurants and currently operates Trail Blais, a progressive culinary company that operates some of Atlanta’s most popular eateries.
He was food and wine specialist on Bravo’s groundbreaking series Queer Eye and has since earned an Emmy award for the prime-time competition series Chopped on the Food Network. Ted Allen was a participant on Top Chef and Iron Chef America, and is a frequent contributor to The Best Thing I Ever Ate.
Known as an iron chef on the original Japanese Iron chef and now on Iron Chef America, Masaharu Morimoto is renowned for his unique style of Japanese fusion. Formerly the head chef of New York's Nobu, Morimoto is the owner of 6 restaurants around the world, including Tokyo's Morimoto XEX, which earned a Michelin star.
Winner of 2010's James Beard Best Chef Southeast, Sean Brock is known as a passionate advocate for seed preservation and grows heirloom crops for the dishes at his Charleston restaurants, Husk and McCrady's. He won Next Great Chef on the Food Network Challenge and Bon Appétit named Husk the 2011 Best New Restaurant in America.
Leading American proponent of molecular gastronomy and owner of restaurant wd~50 in Manhattan, Wylie Dufresne’s unorthodox style earned him 3 stars from the New York Times in 2008 and a Michelin star for wd~50 in 2006, which it held through 2012. Dufresne has been nominated for multiple James Beard awards, including Best Chef New York for 6 consecutive years, culminating in a win in 2013, the same year he opened his second restaurant, Alder, in Manhattan’s East Village.
Co-host of ABC's The Chew, and fan favorite on Bravo's Top Chef, Carla Hall blends classic French training, Southern upbringing and a philosophy to always cook with love. She is author of Cooking With Love and owner of Alchemy by Carla Hall, an artisan cookie company that specializes in petite sweet and savory bites.
Known for his acclaimed PBS series Mexico: One Plate at a Time, Rick Bayless specializes in modern interpretations of Mexican cuisine. Bayless runs 3 restaurants in Chicago, including Frontera. He is winner of Bravo’s Top Chef Masters and has won James Beard awards for his cookbook Mexico—One Plate at a Time, Midwest Chef of the Year, National Chef of the Year, Humanitarian of the Year and Outstanding Restaurant.
His restaurant Coi received two stars in the 2013 Michelin Guide, four stars from the San Francisco Chronicle and was ranked #58 in San Pellegrino’s World's Best Restaurants. He was awarded Best New Chef by Food & Wine and Rising Star Chef by San Francisco Focus in 1997. Patterson notably opened his first restaurant Babette's in Sonoma at age 25.
Winner of Bravo's sixth season Top Chef and finalist for the James Beard Foundation's Best New Restaurant award in 2009, Michael Voltaggio was named Best New Chef by Food & Wine in 2013. His restaurant ink. was recognized in 2012 by GQ as one of the Top 10 Best New Restaurants in LA and Details ranked it one of the “Top 10 Most Fashionable Places to Be Seen (and Eat).”
With 5 nominations from The Foundation for Outstanding Chef of the Year (2008-2011), it's no surprise that Suzanne Goin has worked at some of the most acclaimed restaurants in the US. Goin opened Lucques in West Hollywood in 1998 and A.O.C. in 2002. She was named a Best New Chef by Food & Wine in 1999 and earned awards from the James Beard Foundation for her cookbook Sunday Suppers at Lucques and for Best Chef in 2006.
