The best clay cookware we’ve tested now comes in a beautiful new color. Unique flame-top clay browns and slow-cooks food beautifully, and can be used directly on electric, gas and halogen stovetops, and in ovens up to 500°F. Lighter than traditional cast iron, natural Burgundy clay heats evenly and efficiently and retains heat longer, so dishes stay warm.

Self-basting lid features a dimpled surface to promote even, continuous distribution of juices during cooking. Smooth ceradon glaze resists cracks, chips and scratches and will not discolor or absorb odors or flavors.

Versatile pot is ideal for searing meats, braising, roasting and making stews and cassoulet. Safe for freezer, microwave, broiler and dishwasher. Handcrafted in France of Emile Henry’s signature Burgundy clay.
