Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter or margarine
- 1 8 ounce brick of cream cheese
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon Amaretto
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups cake flour
Glaze
- Powdered sugar
- Warm water
- ½ tablespoon Amaretto
- Maraschino cherries
Procedure
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Butter and flour 12 cup bundt pan.
- Cream together the butter (or margarine) and cream cheese until well blended
- Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add vanilla and Amaretto
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
- Add cake flour, beating until completely combined
- Pour the batter into the greased and floured bundt pan. Bake for 1 hour until cake tests done
- Make a thin glaze by mixing powdered sugar, warm water and ½ tablespoon Amaretto
- Drizzle onto the cake and garnish with maraschino cherries
