Spring Canning with Chef Marian Bolum

Ages 18 and Older
Come learn how to preserve this year's summer bounty from one of New Jersey's local canning professionals, Marian Bolum. You will learn how to make delicious strawberry vanilla jam, a zesty pickle and a fabulous bruschetta. We will be demonstrating the hot water bath technique with step by step instructions along with discussing safety issues, proper storage and inventory. Handouts, tastings, recipes and some jars to go are included. So, come join us and learn the basics of home canning and be ready for the upcoming produce season to preserve your own jams, pickles and tomatoes.

What To Expect:

Great cooking isn't about recipes—it's about techniques. In this demonstration-style class, our guest instructor will prepare the dishes and lead the discussion while you sit, take notes and ask questions.
