Road Trip USA: Teens
For five fun-filled days, our experienced chef instructors will walk teens through kitchen essentials like basic knife skills, how to follow recipes, measuring, mixing, monitoring cooking temperatures and time—and perhaps most importantly—kitchen safety. Then, we’ll teach them a number of cooking methods, like roasting, sautéing, baking, and making fresh pizza dough, and much more as they prepare regional US dishes selected especially for teen palates.
Classes last around two hours a day for five consecutive days. At the end of each class, teens will eat their creations. On the last day, parents are encouraged to join us at the end of class to see how much students have learned. At the end of camp, teens will take home a Sur La Table apron and copies of all the recipes they made.
The skills learned in this class will show teens how much fun cooking can be and provide them with a foundation for a lifetime in the kitchen.
*Please note: Classes are only available as a five-day series.*
