My husband enjoys using the grill, and wanted to try grilling pizza! I'm looking forward to him using it ;)
debra S on Jun 18, 2015
The Pizzeria Pronto pizza oven I had ordered for my husband for Father's Day did not turn out to be as good as I had hoped. There is no gauge to know when the propane is flowing and every time we start the oven, we have to retry two or three times and there is a large burst of flames that shoots out and it is scary. I ordered this pizza stone as an alternate method to grill pizza since the pizza oven didn't work out very well.

metal

what are the two metal pieces at the side of the stone? are they included, what do they do
A shopper on Feb 9, 2014
Best Answer: The two metal boxes are grill humidifiers. They do not come with this stone; they have been discontinued. Their purpose was to infuse moisture and flavor into your pizza.

What type of temperatures can this withstand? I usually bake my pizzas at 425, but would like to try grilling it. My grill can get up to 800 degrees, would this be safe for those temperatures?
A shopper on May 22, 2015
Best Answer: Cordierite has excellent resistance to thermal shock and can be taken to temperatures in excess of 1500 degrees.

Do you have to use cornmeal or anything else when baking the pizza with this stone?
A shopper on Oct 6, 2014
Best Answer: Yes. Without cornmeal or flour, your pizza will most likely stick to the stone.

My stone still has some marks on it after cleaning. Is this a problem?
Florence R on Jul 3, 2015
Best Answer: No, not at all. This is part of the seasoning process. If you'd prefer to remove them, you can try burning them off at high heat.

We have a ceramic grill similar to the big green egg. Can this stone be used on that type of grill?
