"Great product, easy to clean"
Wow, a bendable support that goes in the oven.
This is great, I put it in my Pyrex glass dishes and it holds a chicken or a pork loin up nice and steady. I used to have a small cookie rack in there, but it was too shallow, and would my chicken would slide around dangerously when moving it. I also used it in a crock pot to slow cook a pork shoulder with great results, trying to put veggies under it never worked as well as this, they always got too mushy.
And this is way easier to clean than a wire rack - the silicone is non-stick and flexible, so caked-on crusty bits will literally slide right off. I used to have to scrub that wire rack for 5 minutes to get it halfway clean

Just in Time
This arrived in time for Thanksgiving and was perfect for the turkey. It supports the meat out of the dripping just as stated and cleans up well in the diswasher. I will use it again and again.

Wonderful!
The roasting laurel is wonderful. Keeps food above drippings and easily shapes to what you are cooking. Cleans easily in the dishwasher. It's a keeper - we'll use this regularly.

Horrible to clean
I don't know how anyone can say that this is easy to clean. Every time I have used it, I have to clean each leaf separately, which takes forever. I have tried just rinsing but food just stays stuck.

As far as the way it works; it holds my turkey in place but not off the bottom of the roaster no matter how tight I coil it. I am going back to just a regular roasting rack.

A clever idea and attractive as well. Easy to clean and well conceived.

Really does the job!
I love to "roast" whole chickens in my crockpot, but they always sit on the bottom and stew in all the drippings. This bent nicely to fit in the bottom of my large crockpot, and formed a nice, sturdy base for the chicken. It raises more than an inch off the bottom. I'm very pleased with this item, and I love that it goes in the top rack of the dishwasher for easy cleanup! Can't wait to use it again!!

Great Idea!
I purchased this and immediately tested it out on a roasted chicken. This is the coolest thing ever! It fits into many pans, not just a turkey size pan. It is easily popped in the dishwasher for deep cleaning. I love it!

I love this item!
It keeps the roasting meat elevated so it does not stick to the pan ~ and it makes a beautiful presentation as well.

The only negative is that it is extremely difficult to clean.

A Nearly Perfect Solution
Useful, sturdy, dishwasher-safe, this is a marvelous alternative to rigid racks. I would have given this 5 stars, but...it is difficult to get it to stay in the smaller or multi-curved positions. I tie it together with butchers' twine.

I constantly have the problem of a roasting rack that doesn't fit the various pans I like to use...this marvelous thing solves that, and more! Being able to keep end-stuffed peppers upright, game hens and quail steady and up off the bottom of the pan, and no scrubbing the rack afterwards. Awesome.

I own one and it works so well I bought 2 for my children
Ms. Dale A on Dec 31, 2015
I thought this was great for roasting to lift my roast to brown well and it left more room for veggies.
Sarah M on Dec 29, 2015
Clever and a gift for a friend who rests on his laurels.
Barbara N on Dec 10, 2015
Not only does it appear to do the job it looks attractive. It beats crinkling up foil, which is my current way of raising roasts off the bottom of roasting pans. I HATE using & cleaning my roast holder, which is why I switched to foil.

Better than a wire rack

I hear they are good time savers: no hot roasting rack to deal with, either at a party, or in a small kitchen with one small sink.

Looks cool and easier to clean than a rack. My hairdresser is a gourmet cook and I'm always trying to find something unique for him (onion goggles were a great hit last year!) so I think this will do the job.

My customary 'V' rack is the wrong shape for a Turkey and this lower profile will fit the biggest Bird in the oven better!
Leanne P on Nov 14, 2014
Roasting racks always had problems, cleaning, chipping, etc. This sounds like the right tool for roasting.

KELILEE S on Feb 27, 2016
Is this large enough to use when roasting a turkey?
A shopper on Sep 26, 2013
BEST ANSWER: That's going to depend largely on the size of your bird. If you're roasting a turkey any larger than 12 lbs, you'll probably need 2
Can this be used in a crock pot?
A shopper on Oct 25, 2012
BEST ANSWER: YES!I've used it in a crock pot to cook a pork shoulder for 6 hours. And it worked great. But be careful, the website says it's oven safe to 500 degrees F, so I'd make sure not to turn the crock pot up too high (mine doesn't have a high setting, some cookers have a high setting to sear meats)
How thick is this?
A shopper on Oct 16, 2013
BEST ANSWER: This laurel is 1 1/4"" thick
Is it flexible enough to curl in a spiral to support a small roast so that the roast doesn't sag in the middle?
A shopper on Nov 6, 2013
BEST ANSWER: This laurel is flexible enough to take almost any shape, but I wouldn't suggest using it to wrap around a roast. It's hollow, so it's only meant to be used right side up
Can it be used to hold artichokes for steaming?
Susan M on Apr 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Definitely!
