"popper looks good, but..."
We have used air poppers for 30 years. We bought this one because it goes with our red toaster and blender, and for the on/off switch, which other brands don't have. However, it only pops about 60-70% of the kernals, compared to 90% in our other popper, a pretty high waste factor

I LOVE this popcorn popper!!!
First off I love Cuisinart products! Had no idea they made a hot air popcorn popper!
I LOVE the red! Love the on/off switch! Love the size! Totally enjoyed the popcorn I used!
All popcorn poppers leave unpopped kernals. Has nothing to do with the popper! Its the popcorn!! First time used it whirled 2 kernals out--to be expected there is no ""trap"" door to keep them from popping off the ship!
Received another popper for Christmas took it back because it wasn't a hot air popper. Gave it a whirl anyway. Found I didn't care for the brand or type. Did a huge internet investigation found that this one had the most overall positive reviews. I bought it! It's a CUISINART!!! It works just like I expected it to!

Just ok.....
This popper wastes a lot of popcorn. When you first turn it on it shoots out several popcorn kennels and at the end of the cycle there are still some left in the maker. In my popcorn bowl were also some at the bottom unpopped.
It is hard to find the ""perfect"" popper- I don't think one exists! Sooooo... since I like the look of this popper (got it in red) & it stores nicely I guess it stays....

Must Have For Families
This is hands down, my all-time favorite kitchen purchase. I'll be honest...I wondered when we first bought it if this would eventually just wind up as part of the ""appliance graveyard"" - but this popcorn maker is used by everyone in our family, at least once a week. It's a healthy alternative to the microwave popcorn bags which I hear are one of the worst foods a person can consume. It pops without any oil so it feels light and airy...not heavily weighed down with oil and butter. Its easy to clean and quick to pop. Yesit does leave an occasional kernel in the button but what hot air popper doesnt?!

Truly a must have for anyone with kids

Not the Best!
I was disappointed with this Cuisinart air popper. It most definitely leaves a lot of kernels unpopped and up to 8 kernels will pop after the pop corner maker is turned off. Which can make a mess! I have had Presto popcorn makers in the past, and they do a considerable better job than the Cuisinart. I had hoped Cuisinart would make a good air popcorn maker

Healthier Popcorn Super Simple !
We really like our new popcorn popper - it is exceptionally easy to use and no oil is required. Kernels simply pour into a popping chamber, and hot air sends up to ten cups of popcorn up and out the chute right into a bowl ( use a big bowl! ) . It all takes less than three minutes. We feel much better about this manner of popping corn over the dangerous microwave bags - two thumbs up from us

Messy Maker
I was disappointed in this product. I had high hopes given the manufacturer. I tried the popcorn maker with a small amount of kernels to see how it operated. It spit most of them out unpopped. Then I later tried a full load as directed. A few early kernels were spit out unpopped and then it began to pop kernels. Some landed in the bowl I set up at the exit, but others were fired across the counter and onto the floor. At the end a few more unpopped kernels were spit out. This is not how I expected the machine to operate

Quick and easy
We almost didn't buy this popper based on reviews here. The video sold us on it. Glad that we went for it. We fill the little cap level to the top with popcorn, and pour it in. Put a big bowl in front of it and turn it on. Effortless popcorn with no mess. My son even makes his own now, which makes me really happy that he can choose a healthy snack after school.

We rinse out the butter bowl before it hardens. I've never had popcorn with so little effort both cooking and cleaning. We have about the same amount of leftover kernels that we've had with our old hot air popper and the stovetop one with the crank. Probably about a 98% pop rate.

May have Cuisinart name but ....
Wost hot air popper I have ever used. More unpopped kernals than a traditional oil popper. After using it twice and seeing so many unpopped kernals I decided to find out just how much wasn't popping. The third, and LAST, time I used it I measured the amount of kernals I put into the machine, 40 grams, and when it was finished measured the amount that did not pop, 11 GRAMS! If all you want is a nice looking machine to sit on your counter this may be it but DO NOT buy it for make popcorn

I want an easy way to make popcorn at home. I'm always burning it with the pot-on-stove method. I'm looking forward to seasoning my popcorn with different spices from my pantry. I think this will make a great appetizer for dinner guests.

Do you have problems with it spitting the seeds out before they are popped?
A shopper on Dec 17, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, I myself have had that problem too. The solution seems to be to let it run for a minute or so so it gets hot, turn it off, then add the popcorn.

Is the heated area that contains the popcorn aluminum-free? Aluminum has been implicated in Alzheimer's and heating it and the food it's touching is scary!

Best Answer: I gave the two air poppers as gifts, so I'm not sure.
