Good popper
The thing about air poppers is that they need to be used correctly in order for them to work. That's not as complicated as it sounds, but it's also not obvious when you're using one wrong. We had previously purchased a cheaper popper and were disappointed when it spit out a bunch of unpopped kernels. When we gave up on the other one, I decided to get one that had pretty good reviews, as the old one didn't (hence the price). Much to our dismay, this popper did the same. This bothered me, and after some research, I determined that the culprit was the CORN, not the popper. We replaced the container of popcorn we were using, which was gifted to us, with a cheap bag of FRESH popcorn. It made all the difference in the world. Once popcorn has dried out too much, it doesn't pop and gets spit out. Since we replaced the popcorn, this popper works perfectly, with only very few unpopped kernels spit out

Great Popcorn Popper
I never realized how much I would use this product until I actually had it in my kitchen - it was a very smart purchase. It's lightweight, does its job quickly and looks nice. Plus, air popped popcorn tastes so much better than microwaved popcorn! Very simple. Great value. Would recommend to anyone

Too short to be effective
I bought this remembering the hot-air popcorn maker I had as a teenager many years ago. This one is not near as good. It is shorter and many of the popcorn kernals get blown out of it into the bowl before they pop, especially at the beginning before the machine warms up. After it is warmed up and the popped corn makes it into the bowl, some of the kernals pop after they are in the bowl which blasts the popped kernals out of the bowl. We use it but it makes a mess and is quite a disappointment

Trying to replace and old machine
I bought this new Cuisinart product because its reputation in quality and performance. I just tried it 2 nights ago and it was scary to see some kernels flying out of the machine almost to my face. Spout dispenser is too high, does not have the curve to drop all pop corn directly into a bowl . The clear part on the top came loose and out of place since the pop corn accumulated in the way out and it was pushed out of the ridge where it sits.
The only good new thing I found is that it has an on-off button. I will keep my old Wear Ever machine instead, it is made of a better quality plastic and a more functional design
