Description

EXCLUSIVE Demeyere’s superior technical approach to producing the most advanced clad cookware available has made them a cult favorite with our staff and customers for years. The unmatched quality, sleek design, and highly engineered and tested construction ensure every piece of Demeyere cookware is crafted to perform beautifully and last a lifetime.

Our exclusive new Industry5 cookware collection is the culmination of a two-year collaboration between Demeyere and Sur La Table to produce the most innovative clad-metal cookware on the market. Designed to exceed the exacting standards of both professional and home cooks, Industry5 cookware boasts a five-ply 3mm-thick aluminum and aluminum-alloy core for fast and even heat distribution. The interior is nonreactive 18/10 stainless steel for easy cleanup, and the gleaming 18/10 stainless steel exterior is magnetic, which ensures exceptional performance on any heat source—including induction.

Each pan also features a pouring rim to prevent spills and a tight-fitting lid to lock in cooking aromas and flavors. The superior base stability of Industry5 cookware guarantees the bottom of the pan remains almost perfectly flat when heated, even to higher temperatures. Oils and other liquids will evenly coat the bottom of the pan and never pool on the sides, for even cooking results time after time.

Each piece of cookware features Demeyere’s proprietary Silvinox finish—a unique system of electrochemical surface treatments that removes iron and impurities from the surface, the main causes of discoloration over time. The stainless steel exterior remains silvery white, even after many years of use. It also resists discoloration from fingerprints and heat, even when subjected to temperatures over 500°F.

The oversized stay-cool cast stainless steel handles are shot-blasted to ensure a secure grip, and make transporting a hot pan to and from the oven or stovetop easy even while wearing oven mitts. Each handle is welded directly to the pan, making it significantly more durable and hygienic than a traditional riveted handle. Food, grease and dirt will never accumulate inside the pan, so cleanup is a breeze.

Suitable for use on all cooktops, in the oven up to 600°F, and under the broiler. Dishwasher safe (hand wash recommended). Made in Belgium. 3½-qt. capacity. Limited lifetime warranty.

Features Hide

DURABLE CLAD-METAL CONSTRUCTION
All Industry5 cookware features a 5-ply, 3mm-thick aluminum and aluminum alloy core for fast and even heat distribution, a nonreactive 18/10 stainless steel interior for easy cleanup, and a gleaming 18/10 stainless steel exterior with magnetic properties for exceptional performance on any heat source, including induction.

SUPERIOR BASE STABILITY
Each piece of Industry5 cookware has a perfectly flat base that stays perfectly flat when heated, even under high temperatures. This is a marked advantage over other cookware, which tends to have a more pronounced base expansion as it heats, which causes liquids to pool around the edge. In our Industry5 pan, oil evenly coats the entire surface for great results time after time.

SILVINOX FINISH
Demeyere’s proprietary Silvinox finish is a unique system of electrochemical surface treatments that removes iron and impurities, the main causes of discoloration over time, from the pan surfaces. Thanks to the innovative Silvinox treatment, the stainless steel exterior remains silvery white even after many years of use. It also resists discoloration, even under temperatures over 500°F, and is more resistant to fingerprints.

WELDED STAY-COOL HANDLES
Large, shot-blasted 18/10 stainless steel handles are welded directly to each pan, not attached with screws or rivets. Industry5’s stay-cool, welded handles are more durable and more hygienic, preventing food and grease from accumulating. The shot-blasted stainless steel construction provides a firm, comfortable grip even while wearing oven mitts. The Silvinox finish also provides superior scratch-resistance over time.

"QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY!!!"
I used this pan for the first time yesterday and was blown away by the quality. It conducts heat better than any pan I have ever used. I kept the flame almost on low once it was warmed up. Also, it's a great size and holds more than I thought. Cleanup was a breeze. Folks, do not hesitate to buy this pan. It is well worth the investment. I was in the restaurant business for 40 years so I hope you find my feedback helpful

Needs another handle
The product is of excellent quality and value for the price. However, without the extra small handle to support it while moving/pouring, it wasn't convenient enough for me. Returning it for an equivalent Allclad essential pan that had a handle

Almost Perfect
Overall, this is an excellent pan, heating evenly and with good heat retention. The lid fits tightly, minimizing moisture loss. It is excellent for sauces, with a very nice curve in the sidewalls that allows for easy stirring with a whisk.

I especially like the shot-blasted long handle that makes for a secure grip, even with wet hands. The loop handle on the lid is a generous size, easy to grasp.

My only problem is that the pan is not the right size for me. It's too small to take the place of my 4.5 quart saucepan yet too large to be my ideal saucier. I really need something in the 2.5-3 quart range. So 5 stars for quality, value and overall, with 4 stars for features

Great Utility Pam
This is my 3rd Industry 5 piece and I use them everyday. Never had a saucier but with no 90 degree corners, it is much easier to stir or mix anything. Easy to clean and look classy. Got the Demeyere cleaner to keep them looking new. You will not regret buying Demeyere

Love this pan!!
I was hooked when I read the review and just looking at this stunning piece was love at first sight. After my first use, to cook rice, I was thrilled. The craftsmanship, quality material and design are all outstanding.
The no rivets in the pot itself is a huge plus.I bought this pot specifically for risotto
cooking and it is the perfect shape and size for that as well as a myriad of other daily cooking activities.
I am sure I will be purchasing more of the Industry 5 line of cookware. This time the sale price coupled with a gift card made it an easy choice. Do not hesitate to snag one of these awesome pots

I have used this pan four times now and love it. I cook for two but we love leftovers so I am usually cooking 4-6 servings. The size is perfect for that. Yesterday I made spaghetti sauce, it simmered on the stove for three hours and the handle stayed room temp. The lid fits better than any of my allclad pans.

Great pan but...
I've gotten a lot of use out of this pan over the last several months. It's great both IN and ON the oven. However, what I love about Demeyere is that the pans are made so you can pour out liquid without it dribbling down the side of the pan. My Atlantis sauce pot is great for this. The problem with the Industry5 design is that it does not have this feature. I've poured water out of the pan and it runs down the side and spills onto the counter top. Apart from that it's great, but from now on I'm only getting the Atlantis line.

I am very pleased
What a pan. I stewed tomatoes as the inaugural dish for the Demeyere Industry5 Essential Pan and was ecstatic. The shape of this pan provides wonderful bottom "real estate" so that there is plenty of room for the contents to have direct heat. The handle remained VERY COOL after 15 minutes on high heat. And right up until the time my doorbell rang, all was well. Then, STOOPID me left the flame going. Uggh! But, I was able to salvage much of the tomato dish. And interesting enough, the burn was pretty even across the bottom of the pan, so I know that the heat distribution is fairly good. Not actually the first test I wanted to perform on my expensive new pan, but it was useful to see how well the pan heats. Clean up was surprisingly easy. Half an hour soak, apply Barkeeper's Friend, scrub with nylon sponge and the pan shines like new. I am very pleased with this investment. I use mostly Le Creuset in my kitchen, but am transitioning saucepans and some other key cookware to induction-ready. Demeyere will definitely get first look as I choose new cookware.

Why did you choose this?
Sur La Table Store
My friends recommend this product to me. I would love to have a try. Hope your company can give some credit for referring new custom buying product from your company.

Did extensive research. Chose this collection because of the slant of the handles. The Atlantic collection is too upright and would not fit in our pull out drawers.

Specifically, what are people using this pan for? Substitute for a saucier? Risotto? Deep fry? I like the look but not sure of its function.

Could I whip potatoes in this pan without damaging the interior?
A shopper on Sep 16, 2014
Best Answer: Well, I haven't done it, but the instructions do say that using metal utensils will scratch the surface but not hurt the functionality of the pan.
Good luck.

What do you cook in this?
A shopper on Jan 5, 2015
Best Answer: Everything. It can double as a saucer for sauces, risotto, creamed kale, etc. I have also used it an extra fry pan for some extra portions of fish or sausage. It is extremely versatile, so the better question is what can't you cook in it.

Is it safe to use Barkeeper's Friend for cleaning?

I understand that Demeyere pans are very easy to clean but should there be any difficult to remove bits or accidental scorching, would this cleanser be an acceptable solution
A shopper on Dec 19, 2013
Best Answer: I have used Barkeepers Friend with good results but recently bought the Demeyere cleaner. It is more like a polish and the cookware really gleams after using it. I use it everytime after regular soap and water and figure the bottle will last a year.

Can this insert be used in the 3.5 qt essential pan?

Demeyere® Industry5 Essential Pan, 3½ qt.
Demeyere® Industry5 Steamer Insert, 5½
Demeyere® Industry5 Steamer Insert, 5½" qt.
Best Answer: I'd say that it likely can't. The 3 1/2 quart pan would have to have the same diameter of top as Demeyere's 8 quart stock pan, because that's what the steamer is designed to fit into. The 8 quart stock pot measures 10" in diameter from the outside of the lip. The inside diameter is 9 3/4". The website states that the essential 3 1/2 quart pan measures 10 1/4" big. That is likely a little too big and wouldn't give a good seal on the steamer with the steamer's gasket. I have the 8 quart stock pot, the pasta insert and the steamer.
