Performs well
I bought the 6 quart pot hoping it would function under high heats. I have an 1800 BTU per burner stove,( professional series model stove) usually I have to cook on low, with this pot I am able to use higher heats and the pot does not pit. It was a good investment. Very easy to clean, good cleaning instructions included.

Love this Dutch Oven!
I have a 5 qt. Le Creuset Dutch Oven, which is absolutely wonderful, but have been looking for another one that is not quite as heavy. This 6 qt. oven is fantastic - performs great, washes up easily, works with my induction cook-top, and was a real bargain on sale. I highly recommend it - only wish is was not made in China.

I definitely recommend this Dutch Oven. I have looked extensively and compared quality and price; by far, this pan won the long hunt. It performs beautifully and looks beautiful as well. I left it out on the stove for a couple of days for accessible admiration!.

A POT NOT TO BE WITHOUT
As Sur La Table says, there are many, many uses for this one.
Also the price is good for the quality. I'm very happy with mine!

Great price, great quality

This is a great price for a good piece of quality cookware. I'm outfitting a home in another state where I visit frequently and need reasonably priced pieces with multiple options for use. This fit the bill.

Is this stainless pot 18/10 ?
A shopper on May 10, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, it is made as well as All-Clad. What is more important, is that the edge is rolled like most All-Clad pots which helps when pouring out liquids (stews/soups) and seals the lid much better. Buy, as this is a good pot. TC

What is the thickness of the pot, ie how thick is the tri-ply layer? Thank you.
A shopper on Apr 17, 2015
Best Answer: I can't say how thick it is but it is very heavy so it must me quite thick. The quality is impeccable as usual with all my Sur La Table pots and pans but this one when full of water/liquid is hard for me to handle.. But I still like it.

How heavy is it with the lid included in the weight?
A shopper on Jan 10, 2015
Best Answer: This is a good question. I havent weighted it for lack of a scale but when it is pretty full of water like when i boil water for pasta I found it too heavy to carry to the sink. I have had to buy a scoop colander to remove the pasta from the pan. I admit that I am not terribly strong.

When you describe the dimensions to be 10" in diameter below -- where is that measured? Is that the interior of the top of the pot? The exterior? [And, 10" doesn't correspond to standard metric measures. Is the pot 26cm?]
jonathan n on May 31, 2015
Best Answer: The top rim flares out a bit...from rim to rim is 10". The inside dimension ...near the top is exactly 9.5" .
