New Twist On An Old Tool (pun intended)
This was a replacement to the classic pinching ""tong-style"" of nut cracker that we all grew up using. I wanted something that small children could use without pinching their little fingers when the nut slipped. I am only about a week into using this device, but all indicators say that it was worth the expensive gamble and is a winner. The concept is crazy simple as you place the nut in the device, twist and a cam compresses the nut, cracking the shell. The motion is very smooth and it works consistently. My six-year-old filets nuts without injury or incident and we are not chasing nuts across the floor if the nut slips
