All you have to do is:
- Pre-soak wood chips for at least 30 minutes
- Remove the grill grate from your grill
- Adjust the smoking platform’s heat-deflecting trays to secure them into position, and tighten the wing nuts to hold them in place
- Slide the V-shaped smoker box into the opening in the heat-deflecting platform so that’s it’s sitting between two heat sources
- Fill the smoker box with soaked wood chips. Fill the liquid reservoir with the liquid of your choice, and close the box lid
- Replace your grill grate and preheat the grill to high
- Once the wood chips begin to smoke, you’re ready to start cooking
