My 4th 7qt Mixer and the best
I've had 3 7qt mixers for over 35 years. When I was looking for a mixer to replace my last one I thought I'd give this one a try. I do a lot of heavy mixing with fresh ground WW flour. What surprised me was the difference in the batters for cakes and cookies and again for the yeast breads using the same recipes as usual. It had plenty of power. the other reason I bought it was it's made in the states and hopefully can get it repaired when there is a problem.

Best of the KitchenAid mixers
We have 2 5qt, 1 6qt and 1 7qt mixer, of these this one is the work horse. I make all the bread for our home and with the first use I new this was the best mixer for this. I knew this before but was confirmed with how easy it kneaded dough. It is nice that the 6qt attachments and bowl fit also. I bought this one when it was released because I was so displeased with the 6qt Professional 600 Stand Mixer. I have used the Viking and the Breville and this mixer out paces either of them. This is the best buy for a stand mixer

An amazing machine
I purchased the Pro Line Kitchenaid stand mixer after having outgrown my 4 1/2 quart ultra power stand mixer. Before purchasing this stand mixer I purchased another model that I was very unhappy with due to the sounds and smells the motor was making. The strength of these other mixers also did not seem good. This mixer, however, is completely different. It's quiet and smooth. The mixer can handle many of the high hydration, low hydration, and stiff doughs that I've used it for. It seems very well made. I highly recommend this stand mixer to anyone who is a serious cook or baker. This mixer is unlike the other Kitchenaid mixers that are currently being sold

Can you please verify the maximum width by measuring it?

Other sources and versions of this 7qt mixer are actually not that wide. 13.25"" wide will not fit on my mixer lift

I have a really hard time getting the bowl in place. It takes a lot of force to set the bowl into the bowl support once the bowl is lined up with the pins. Is this normal and will it get easier with more use?
Candice on Sep 5, 2014
Best Answer: I spoke to a store manager that demos this mixer frequently. He says that it's supposed to be a pretty tight fit. It may loosen up a little over tie, but keep in mind that you want it to be pretty snug so your bowl stays in place as much as possible while mixing.

I've been using this for about a month. The mixer makes a high-pitched noise when it's running. Also, on speeds higher than 2, it makes a clicking noise. Is this normal?
Jodie W on Jun 18, 2015
Best Answer: According to KitchenAid Customer Service, the clicking noise is normal, but the high pitched noise is not.

Where can I get another flat beater attachment for this mixer?
A shopper on May 31, 2015
Best Answer: My best advice is to go directly to the KitchenAid website and look for attachments from the "Stand Mixer" link. It is possible that a kitchen store which carries this item, like "Sur la Table", would also have the attachment available.

Can I mix bread dough with this mixer?
A shopper on Dec 8, 2013
Best Answer: Absolutely! This is what this mixer was designed for. Whether high hydration or low hydration, this mixer is fantastic. Just be sure to knead on stir or #2 and pay attention to your dough and the machine. The motor is very quiet and the machine is unlike any Kitchenaid mixer currently being sold

Do the available whisk attachments work for this mixer?

Will any of the whisk attachments offered on the site fit this mixer?
A shopper on Oct 27, 2012
Best Answer: This mixer comes with a wire wire whip attachment in addition to a flat beater and a dough hook. There are currently no additional attachments available for this mixer and the ones listed on this site are not interchangeable with any Kitchen Aide. They will only work on the KitchenAid KSM90 and K45 Stand Mixers.

Can I get a glass bowl for this mixer? If not can I get an extra stainless steel bowl for my Kitchenaid Pro line mixer?
Judy D on Jul 19, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Judy - I purchased a Pro line after lovingly (and extensively) using my standard Kitchen Aid mixer for years (which I gave away to a woman's shelter - still powerful and fabulous - just not big enough for me!) - I purchased an additional bowl after about one year as I found I needed two bowls frequently. I do not know about a glass bowl and would guess they do not make such a bowl due to the weight/likelihood of breakage. Hope this helps. Clare S.
