This is an amazing addition to my cookware collection. I find myself using several times a week. Perfect for cooking pasta and veggies for just me and my husband and the size is great for those large dinner parties where you need all the room you can get! The quality is great- cleans easily and looks good too! Highly recommend this as addition to a well-stocked or any ktichen. Great for college kids too
I've had this pot for about a year now. I use it all the time. It is my go to pot for making iced tea, boiling eggs, cooking shrimp, or anything else in small quantities. It fits perfect on the small burner and works on any type stove. My favorite part is the strainer lid which really makes this pot, the most useful tool. No Regrets on this one.
I admit my mistake, I take responsibility, and I move on - to write a positive review.
Buyer cons: * I hate asparagus tips on toast; * Grandmama never had a pot like this; * My kitchen looks like the inside of a Band-Aid box...no more ""decorative, useless items, thanks.""; * My Micro, right or wrong.
Buyer Pro's: *Canning small batches of foods? Astoundingly efficent and useful; *Make small amounts of anything? - quick and easy; *Need to melt, heat, or cool or chill something quickly, then pour it carefully into, onto, beside, anything? Here ya go; *Considers a Strainer Lid to be a religious experience.
I use this daily to boil water for French press coffee pot. Allows you to use that 4th burner without bumping other pots/pans. Steamed potatoes taste so much better than boiled. Perfect for preparing & cooling hard boiled eggs. Useful for gently reheating coffee. Handle & lid do indeed stay cool which is a big help for straining. Not the prettiest but makes up for that by utility. I still leave it on stovetop
If you are a cook who looks a lot at food to help control doneness, this pot is not for you. The lid is glass, but due to the small size of the pot and its height, you can't see into it readily. The lid fits very tightly, but that also makes it difficult to remove and return quickly. I used the pot the first time to cook a single serving of green beans but was frustrated that I could not readily see what was going on. The pot is great, however, for producing hard-boiled eggs, which I bring to a boil and then remove from the heat to set. And I think it will be a good little pot for stewing fruit when I can rely more on my kitchen timer than my eyes. One caution: this is single-ply stainless and much thinner than what you might be used to in your other cookwear. It heats very quickly
I love this pot. I use it to make my hummingbird nectar. It has measurements on the side. I can put the water in and the sugar, warm it then store it in the refrigerator. Using only one pot. I have not used it to pour so I don't know that use yet. If I could find a fault, it is the little feet at the bottom. When I steam vegetables, I don't like them in water. The little feet will only allow about an inch of water. The directions are to put a cup of water in to steam. This means for steaming some vegetables they must be in water. I am thinking about putting a little cup like device to raise the basket so the vegetables will not stand in water. It would be great for asparagus. All in all I love the pot. So glad that I bought it. Would recommend it highly. Keep in mind about the amount of water
