While I like the style and size of this dish, it seems the more I use it the more that cracks appear on the interior glaze and seemingly below it. These cracks do not seem to be completely thru the material. I have only used the dish in the oven at a maximum of 400 deg. about 4 times
This dish is so pretty and I really want to love it but I just bought it last Friday and used it last night and it has a crack in it. We hand washed it and did not bang it on the counter or sink. Would not recommend this item.
I've used my casserole maybe 2 times. Was putting away another dish yesterday and found the casserole broken in the drawer. I thought the price was quite good; now I realize why. The quality matched the low price
I bought three of these in different colors. I've handled them like I have many other ceramics but one outright cracked and another is heading in that direction. Too bad but even at these low prices they are not worth it.
I love the design as it fits into my small oven while Le Creuset's larger one cannot. However, within half an year, there are huge dark cracking lines in half circle shape appearing at the interior surface. I can feel the lines with my nail so they must have cracked through the glaze.
It is such a shame for a Sur La Table branded product.
I use my small Creuset baking dish four times more often than this one without any issue so far. So I will skip SLT stoneware in the future for sure.
Bought this and the smaller size in green, plus the trays to set them in for my annual Christmas brunch. Haven't used them yet, am aware of the comment about cracks, but these will not be used everyday. They are perfect in size, I love the metal trays, the color is festive, and I am very confident they will work for me. I may get the gold after my party if I find I need more pretty serving dishes

I want to make casseroles ahead of time, keep in the frig for a day or two, and then straight to the oven. I need a heads start with big meals
I purchased several of these Italian Onda Bakers and when I got home I noticed a sticker on the bottom of each stating not to use from frig directly to oven. The food item must be brought to room temperature prior to heating. Is this true? What good are the bakers if this is the case?

Best Answer:Yes, that is correct. These bakers are sensitive to thermal variations and should not be subject to sudden extreme temperature changes
My experience has been, when you take straight from the fridge to the oven, the bakeware could crack. This has happened to me with glass pans as well. They basically exploded. I would suggest removing the bakeware from the fridge and setting it out or placing it in a cold oven and then turn it on
