Beautiful
This is a very nice-looking knife block, I just love it, so much
better than the old one I had, looks so classy in my kitchen

It's a good size and configuration but...
I bought this for my daughter who's moving away from home and taking some of my knives with her. It's an ideal size and configuration, but the inside knife slot edges are pretty rough.

Why did you choose this?
Sur La Table Store
I have been replacing a lot of my older knives and I wanted to protect the blades as much as possible. I was going to buy sleeves for them but with the deal on this block this was the more affordable way to go. I hope I like it!!

Fell in love with the Wusthof Epicure knife line and this acacia knife block (which is what the Epicure knife line comes in), but am not willing to spend the amount of money for the full Epicure set. Instead, I am content to get the knife block and a few key pieces of the Wusthof Epicure line to supplement my main Wusthof Classics.
Laurel H on Nov 30, 2015
We wanted the darker wood and ordered it. We have just started our collection of Wusthof knives and wanted to store them in a nice block. It's beautiful and functional.

How deep are the knife slots?????

The cross sectional info is needed, but it is NOT helpful......My favorite Shun is over 10 inches from tip to hilt.... Will it fit?Understand if the slot is open at the end, of course it will fit, but the tip of my favorite knife will turn up like a Jester's shoe! Can this block protect expensive cutlery????

does this block crack, like the others from Wusthof?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We have had this block since the summer - so no cracking yet. Seems to be really sturdy and heavy though. So far - we have been happy and no signs of distress on the block. Hope that helps.
I also have ceramic knives. Can I store them in the knife block or should I keep blade protector on and store elsewhere?
