How deep are the knife slots?????

The cross sectional info is needed, but it is NOT helpful......My favorite Shun is over 10 inches from tip to hilt.... Will it fit?Understand if the slot is open at the end, of course it will fit, but the tip of my favorite knife will turn up like a Jester's shoe! Can this block protect expensive cutlery????
A shopper on Mar 7, 2014
Best Answer: The top row can fit knives with blades up to 10"" long, the second row can fit knives with blades up to 8 1/2"" long, the third and fourth can fit knives with blades up to 7"" long
