I bought this apple corer on an impulse a few months ago and I'm glad I did. it's easy to use and clean, and feels durable. It's a great time saver tool. Very happy with this purchase

Great product!
This apple slicer/corer is awesome! I can cut an apple is seconds and my kids love it, too! They want to to eat apples just so they can watch me use this

Nice to have a choice in size of slices
We like this quite a bit. Recommend cutting a small slice from the bottom of the apple to make it easier to use. Also use care removing any fruit that remains on the device. it is VERY sharp - as it should be.

I want to make thinner slices of apples for a pie.
Alfreda M on Nov 11, 2016
Mixed feelings. The adjustable blade is not flush to the other blade. So when you slice you end with pieces of apple caught in-between. You get messy slivers.
Erwin G on Nov 10, 2016
should be a great short cut to slicing apples for pie.
Bessie B on Nov 9, 2016
I recently pulled my old one out of the kitchen drawer-an oldie but goodie- but it's definitely needing to be replaced-this one appears to be well designed and made, more info. later after we've had an opportunity to use it...

hoped it would help with pie prep. Arthritis makes me less likely to do things that hurt. It helps. Still have to peel, but...it's less work.
Lisa B on Sep 15, 2016
other one broke
TAMMARA M on Sep 10, 2016
Needed an apple slicer. I like that I can adjust the slices to either 8 or 16.
Mary T on Sep 6, 2016
Tool allows for 16 narrower slices as well as the usual 8 wider ones. We enjoy apple and cheese as an appetizer quite often and the narrow option will be better for this. I also relied on reviewers' comments and ratings. Another brand of a similar tool from another well-known upscale kitchen retailer received just two stars from multiple customers. This one at Sur la Table received five stars from all reviewers.
LINDA S on Aug 25, 2016
The only dial-a-slice apple slicer... I use it for apple pies and cutting apples to serve with peanut butter for snacks.

Kathy S on Mar 27, 2016
love the versitality
Julianne B on Mar 23, 2016
The kids love apples and it saves me from having to slice up with a knife. In addition, the kiddos eat more of the apple instead of leaving a lot around the ends and core if they try to take on a whole apple. And... believe it or not, everyone's present in the kitchen when I use this, so it PROMOTES SHARING!!!
Tonya S on Feb 5, 2016
I needed it.
JULES W on Jan 14, 2016
Because my last one broke :)
Kimberly D on Dec 28, 2015
I've had one of these for many years that's gotten dull and was looking for a replacement. I like that this one has handles and it's still reasonably priced.

What is the number of slices with each increment of width?
A shopper on Dec 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There are two settings. The wide setting is 8ths. The narrow slices are 16ths. The narrow slices are what you would use for pies.
