Wonderful!!
I was really hesitant in buying this dutch oven (Cocette) on-line because the size was a little different than most. It turns out it is the perfect size, a little wider than most dutch ovens but not quite as deep. I've made numerous dishes and they have all worked just wonderfully. The quality of Staub is excellent, it is beautifully made and I leave it on display all the time. There is not one thing I don't like about it, and would even call it an heirloom piece. And I think I may even speak with a little French accent when I use it!!! Bon Jour ..

How many quarts?
Trixie Z on Oct 30, 2014
Best Answer: if you're cooking for large groups or holiday meals, I would recommend 9qt. If you intend on cooking meat, the rule is about 2/3 - 3/4 of a lb per each quart. So a 9qt you could do a 6-7lb shoulder, roast or brisket. 5 qt would be about 4lbs.

lynn on Oct 11, 2014
Best Answer: Yes. This cocotte is enameled so it won't react with foods.
