Description

You might’ve seen this tool before; it was featured on National Public Radio and in the New York Times Magazine. Mangos are sweet, juicy and delicious, but they used to be a chore to prepare—not any more.

One simple press removes the seed and cuts the fruit in half. The splitter’s sharp and sturdy serrated blades slice cleanly through the fruit and leave almost nothing behind on the seed. The ergonomic soft grips cushion your hand while you press.

It really really works!!!!
I have to admit, I'm skeptical of most gadgets and while I'm overly attracted to them, I tend to not buy them as they usually become tomorrows' drawer clutter.

I was thrilled when I tried this one tho! It works! It actually works exactly as shown! Amazing!

No more messy squished mango parts all over your hands! Neat halved mangos ready in an instant! Grab this product and grab a spoon and dig in! Don't forget the lime juice! YUM!

Thank you OXO for a wonderful product

Idiot Proof
There may be a correct way to cut a mango, but I couldn't figure it out. This lil tool makes cutting into a mango so easy. In one quick move, you have a open, easy to eat mango at your finger tips

Awesome!
No more fear of buying mangoes. This tool makes it easy. Works best on regular sized mangoes. The bigger mangoes are a little more difficult to line up but its still better than using a knife. Love it! Bought a bunch for gifts.

Love!!!
Just like the previous reviewer, I wasn't sure if the mango splitter would really work. But I figure what have I got to lose, since I could return it if I wasn't happy with it. Well, three months later, I have used it at least at least 25 times and I love it! Cutting mangoes before was so messy. I don't know what I would do without it now

A juicing necessity! Earns its drawer space :)
My kids talked me into buying a six-pack of mangos from BJs. (Naturally) they refused to eat them so I found a delicious juice recipe (2 mangoes, 4 oranges, 8 carrots, serves 2) to use them up. Problem was, pitting the mangos was a huge pain, very messy, and left a tragic amount of juice on my cutting board. I have a small kitchen with very little storage so I never buy gadgets, but the juice is so good that I took a chance on this one. It is worth every inch it takes up in the drawer! Now I buy and juice a six-pack of super-healthy mangos every week

Find cutting mangos hard to do and messy. Hope this works good for me as it does for others.

I love mangoes. I grew up eating them and would have loved have this item to help with the mess. My grandmother would have loved this.

how do you know where to place the slicer?
A shopper on Jul 24, 2015
Best Answer: Just push the blades down onto the fruit as close to the center as you can. As you push the blades down you will feel the resistance as the blades encounter the pit and slide along its edge. It's certainly not a precision technique, but on the first try you will see that this tool yields more cleanly sliced fruit than you'd ever get by trying to carve it off the pit with a knife!
