Great Concept . . .
This product is not very easy to use. If you've ever used a regular icing bag, you know that it can get kind of messy - well imagine trying to put two icings in one separated bag. Also, they should tell you in the instructions to use a thinner icing. If your icing is stiff, or even medium, it is VERY hard to squeeze out of the bag

Cool Product
Your first run has to be a tester run, I learned to get your dual tip setup in the bag, then half twist the bag before filling up both sides of icing. Use the 18"" bag for room to work. Quickly massage the 2 colors to the tip before you untwist, once they're even, squeeze the excess air and you're set.

I'm a cook, not a baker, and playing with this dual icing set makes me feel like a cupcake artist

Sets you apart from the rest!
This product is fun to use and makes your dessert stand out from the rest. The bags definitely have to have the frosting put in each side a little at a time to get the proper amount down into each bag. The first time I used the product, the separator broke so I was disappointed, however, I wrote the company and they promptly responded and sent a new piece, along with bonus bags! Very customer oriented and that is very important to me

Duo Icing Set #1110584

I ordered this last week and looked at it yesterday. There are only large bags with no divider down the middle to make the cupcakes as shown. I also ordered replacement bags and they are the same. Were the wrong bags sent with the set? they are useless the way they are. Thanks for your help.
A shopper on Feb 19, 2013
Best Answer: At first when I opened these bags, I too thought that the bag did not have a divider in them. Upon closer inspection I noticed that static cling was making the divider sitck to the side of the bag. Try rubbing your thumb and index finger together along the top of the bag. By doing so you should be able to pull the divider away from the inside of the bag

Could I use this for filling deviled eggs? I'm not sure how to make the filling decorative like the stores.
Jeannine S on Nov 13, 2014
Best Answer: The trick to using any decorator tip for deviled eggs is to make sure your filling is smooth without any lumps to get caught in the tip. You'd also want to stick to the largest star tip to avoid blockage. Works great to just squeeze a good amount of filling into the egg white half with the star tip , finishing it off with a pretty top like you would a cupcake.

how sturdy are those tips?

I was thinking of getting some metal tips when I saw these, they might be a good trial set.Can you tell me how sturdy they are?Do they perform like the metal ones? What are the advantages/disadvantages of plastic vs metal tips
A shopper on Mar 31, 2014
Best Answer: These tips are made of hard plastic, so I'd say they're very sturdy, and perform just as well as the metal ones.A disadvantage to plastic tips is that they're more likely to break, but a disadvantage to metal tips is that they're more likely to rust
