Great Frying Pan
Great for pan frying with small amount of oil.
So far nothing has stuck to bottom.
Cleans up easy. Retains heat once warmed up

A great Braiser at a great price
This is my first Braiser and I am loving it. My first attempt was a chili made with a nice Chuck Roast. The Braiser did a great job searing the beef and then it easily deglazed and simmered my chili to perfection! It is just the right size for cooking for 4. You may even have some leftovers!

Excellent value and features
Outstanding for searing meats and holding consistent temps for hours. Self basting lid, durable cast iron, no need to season...what else can you ask for? I see no need to spend an extra $200 for Le Creuset.
I'm shocked at a few of the negative reviews, they just don't make any sense to me. It smells? It's heavy? Come on guys! Keep it simple people, this is a great purchase for amateur chefs wanting to braise. Backed by SLT for a lifetime

No Wonder This is a Staff Favorite
This braiser has been promoted to its own eye on the stove and it sits there not only showing off its beauty but waiting for its next culinary delight.

I have used it several times and it is one of our household's favorite cookers. I accept full responsibility for making such wonderful meals and should take a back seat to the fantastic output from the braiser and not the head cook.

There are no critical remarks concerning this pot nor can I even think of any. It is just fantastic in all ways

Love my red Sur la Table Braiser
I prepared corned beef and cabbage (used America's Test Kitchen recipe). The braiser was ample for the 4 pound beef, 8 cups of liquid and lots of carrots, celery, potatoes, and cabbage. The meal was delicious and the clean up was so easy. Can't wait to use it again. It is so attractive, I keep it on my stove top

LOVE my red Brasier!!!
We keep this on the shelf in view, it is that pretty. We went into buy a more expensive Straub, but found it too small for our needs. This store brand is 1/3 the price and much bigger. I go out of my way to find things to cook with this. I made outrageously good chicken marango with it the other night

Sadly, I think I ruined the seasoning on my new pan! After two boiling and scraping tries, I finally removed the burned on parts. Now how do I re season it? Help

beware glass top stove! heavy lifter
I was unprepared for how heavy this was even without food in it- the weight would have stopped my purchase as I have limits on weight I can lift. The other concern was the multiple warnings for glass top stoves and warnings only disclosed when found a sheet in the box after getting item in the mail. Had that been disclosed on-line I would not have purchased this product. The good news is that customer service allowed a easy return for the items. Unfortunately I bought 1 for myself and 1 for a gift and will return both items.

Very cheap
This is a waste of money.
Has a strange smell.
doesnt not hold heat at all.
I would say save your money and buy a le creuset.
That is what the Sur la table sales person told me to do in the first place. I will be returning tomorrow
