Believe the writers -- this pair of scissors will cut through the wiliest king crab shell! I didn't believe it until I tried it. No trauma to the the hands. I keep this in my purse now with my other seafood utensils when I go to restaurants.
We are fortunate enough to eat dungeness crab regularly during crabbing season. I thought these would be great but for me, they are just okay. Perhaps it is because I am more efficient with the other end of the crab pick (shovel end) and have my method developed. The knife blade is a little large for dungeness legs, would probably work better on king, like another reviewer wrote.
