Special-Care Instructions:
Copper is an exceptional material for kitchen use. Maintained properly, your copper cookware will last for generations. Before first use and after each use, carefully wash with hot soapy water then rinse and dry. Over time, copper can change color through use; however, this will not change the conductivity of the copper material. Never clean with bleach. This can lead to irreparable damage. If food sticks to the inside, soak it with hot soapy water. To restore the shiny copper surface to your Mauviel pots and pans, use Mauviel Copperbrill Copper Polish.

I love to cook, and I cook a lot. I am slowly building a set of copper cookware. I prefer copper because of the way it distributes the heat and cooks the food. And, it is beautiful!!

Mauviel is top of the line cookware - aesthetically, practically - and something I've wanted / talked about for years. I'm finally in a position to indulge myself a bit and enjoy it!

I'd like to try just one copper pan to try out its heat conductivity. Mauviel is well known and the 250c is a classic look of their best quality. The 10" size is about the perfect skillet size for me too.

Stove top temperatures I mean. On the element?
A shopper on Sep 9, 2014
Best Answer: Your average cooktop ranges in temperature from 200° to 500°. Since it's heat safe to 460° I would keep this skillet around medium high at the most.
