Does a Gret Job, but there is room for improvement
The poacher does a great job, but it took three tries to poach the eggs perfectly, in my opinion, with soft to slightly runny centers. A set of instructions about poaching would have been great help.
Also, I see the anodizing on the cups chipped away at a couple of locations. Something that would need to be monitored for further deterioration.

Not a poacher
It is impossible to poach an egg in this. This is an egg coddler, not a poacher. Poaching requires direct contact (and usually submersion) with water. This is a pan that sits above boiling water, which is coddling, and requires a fat, like oil or butter, to properly cook.

Works fabulous
I have ordered two and plan to order three more. Works like a charm; eggs come out perfect. I use a dab of olive oil in the bottom of the cup to insure the egg will slide out easily.

I like this Egg Poacher because it looks fool proof in making poached eggs. The handles on the inserts look like they can be handled with out burning fingers.

I love poached eggs, but I don't do well with the vinegar technique, or the swirling technique. Figured I would try this and see how it went. And it also has a lid and a detachable tray to use it as a skillet. bonus. :)

I rec'd mine for Christmas - but I do not have instructions, did it come with instructions?
A shopper on Dec 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: We found our instructions under the poacher that lies in the pan.
so how does one use it and how do the eggs come out?
Laurie P on Jan 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: First you place water in the bottom pan, place in the support liner and individual egg cups. Heat water to boiling. I prefer a light boil rather than raging.

I prefer to crack the egg into the hot cup. Allow to cook to your desired softness. These are great as just poached eggs or as I use it most of the time for the poached egg for our Egg's Benedict. Oh, the eggs when done slide very easily out of the cups.

The pan and parts are easily cleaned in mild soapy water.
Mine had no egg poaching instructions or recommendations. Only a pamphlet for general pan care.Am I missing something?
Cheryl S on Jan 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Cheryl, Very simple. 1-Fill the bottom of the pan with water. Do not overfill as the boiling water will bubble over. 2-one egg per cup. 3-simmer until eggs turn white and centers are cooked the way you like them. Typically 5-8 min. Enjoy!
Is this usable on an induction stovetop?
Mary Louise T on Jan 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, it isn't.
My eggs stuck like crazy and the cups were really hard to get clean. And no, I didn't overcook them because the yolks were still runny. What could I have done wrong??
Louise I on Mar 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Do not put the cups or eggs in until the water is simmering. Use cooking spray or butter or cooking oil to lightly coat the cup before putting egg in it. Works perfectly.
are the cups made out of metal or plastic??
A shopper on Mar 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The cups as well as the skillet are made out of anodized metal. So, when you're not using the egg poacher cups you have a great small skillet with glass tight fitting lid.
What are the handles for the cups made of and do they get hot? I have the chefs 6 cup and love it. Am looking for one for my mother
SKIP M on Jan 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The handles feel like some sort of plastic and do not get hot when the water is boiling and the lid is on.
I need to replace some damaged cups
Are they available?
Cheri A on Oct 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, we don't sell replacement parts.
