Amazing pot
This is equally beautiful and functional. I purchased it in September and am always getting compliments on how it looks on the stove. As far as functionality goes, this is my first Staub and it has been amazing so far - nothing sticks and stews/soups are so flavorsome.

Love it
Really like it but smaller than anticipated. I ordered it through the store because they didn't have any in stock. Love the rooster knob. (Purchased separately )

Why did you choose this?
Sur La Table Store
bought the larger one, and love it.
mariah c on Nov 25, 2016
Perfect size for my needs. More durable and heavier than other famous french competitor. Love the dark interior, easy to clean. The enamel coating is beautiful and thicker than other brands.

I have been replacing my dearly loved and well seasoned Lodge Cast Iron cookware due to using an Induction Cooktop -- which I honestly do not regret - plus having to ensure I can go directly from induction burner into the convection oven. Size also needs to be smaller now due to reducing menus to 2 people and getting ready to downsize living space.

HEE L on Oct 17, 2016
Because I have wanted one for a long time and it is fantastic.
Erin T on Oct 2, 2016
Best purchase ever. I make my ratatouille and my roasted chickens in a flash. 1 pot does it all....of course I don't cook the roasted chicken when I am cooking my ratatouille!

I love my dutch ovens and wanted to add another beauty to my kitchen. These are so great for soups, stews, roasts, chili, really anything and everything. They heat so evenly, they will last forever and they look pretty on the stove!
Cory C on Apr 25, 2016
Graphite grey is a beautiful timeless color and the 9 qt is the perfect size to cook for 4-6 people. I love Staub's design and performance and prefer it over Le Creuset. Thank you Sur La Table!
Vicky J on Feb 25, 2016
Because I liked the size and color
Tina M on Feb 13, 2016
Plain color and size
John H on Feb 8, 2016
I wanted a smaller dutch oven - they're versatile and wonderful. I like the color.
Nancy W on Feb 5, 2016
I find Staub to be more durable than LC. The color is gorgeous, cleanup is easy, it goes on stovetop and in oven, and the size will be perfect for vats of chili and meatballs. Definitely cookware to last a lifetime.
Lisa J on Feb 1, 2016
Two reasons...one is the graphite gray color and the other is the unique lid on the Staub products that recirculates the moisture within the cooking environment
William M on Dec 9, 2015
This vessel was used in a recent cooking class and I was impressed by its quality.

This is a gift. I had one. It is terrific for soups and stews. Even heat, captures steam on lid. Attractive.

Donna M on Jan 2, 2015
I chose this 13.2 Qt Staub Cocottes in graphite for making soups and stews. I love the Staub products I already have and thought this would be a wonderful addition to my collection.l
Cheryl V on Dec 31, 2014
After doing a little research, I chose Staub because of the dark finish inside of the pot; I also liked the spikes on the lid that help to braise the food and keep moisture in.
Laurie C on Dec 19, 2014
Great deal!
Kelly S on Dec 17, 2014
This is a gift for my friend who already has a Staub pan & loves it!

More specifically, when does the sale price of 149.00 for the Staub 4 quart cocotte end?
Also, could you tell me if they have one in the store in the Quaker Bridge Mall, near Princeton, New Jersey?
Thank you.
Jessica S on Nov 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This price will run until the end of our catalog, which is on 12/24. They're not available in stores.
What can be cooked in the cocotte?
A shopper on Dec 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You can make stew, curry, or even meat stock in the cocotte. I sometimes use it to pan fry my tofu since it retains heat very well, and it's deep enough to not create splattering of oil on your stove.
Can you use metal utensils on staub?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not sure. I only use wood and plastic. Too scared to use metal.
Will you be getting more of the 4 quart staub cocottes in graphite?
Cindy T on Dec 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No. They've been discontinued.
When does the sale price end?
Jessica S on Nov 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It ends on Christmas, when our catalog ends.
