It's for my hubby who loves to grill steaks but sometimes it's very inconvenient to grill for one or two only. In addition, this is perfect for our induction top; he wouldn't have to think twice whether it will work on our top (because I still have and keep on hand our not-induction-friendly pots & pansð???). And for me, I wouldn't have to throw out another cast iron skillet just because I didn't clean & season it soon enoughð???

For anyone with experience with Le Creuset products, I'm curious how you think the Staub grill pan compares?

BEST ANSWER: After reading several cookware forums, blogs & reviews, the general consensus seems to be that Staub is better. Because they specialize in in the black matte enamel, the Staub surface tends to do a better job browning meats & vegetables.
