Very Satisfied
This is the best oven we've had in years. The ease of use & the perfect toast, maccaroni & cheese, (stays creamy, does't dry out), & our enchaladie's have never been more perfect. This oven bakes as though there is a chef inside.

We looked at several for our new kitchen & finally decided on the B. Smart Oven because of ease of programming.

Superior
I love this oven. It looks great and performs even better. You can roast, toast, bake, warm and more in here. I have baked loaves of sourdough, roasted trays of veggies, baked pizza and cookies and it makes the perfect slices of toast. Really highly recommend

Best appliance in my kitchen
What a purchase it's the best. It reaches 400 degrees in a third of the time of my main oven. I have a very small condo kitchen and it fits perfectly on my work surface in an area where I would usually not use. The convection is brilliant, for the first time in two years I made the perfect cheese cake no crack through it. I use it for every day cooking for myself and when I have guests its an additional oven. The temperature in my kitchen is so much cooler. An excellent purchase especially now they have a light in it. That was my only negative and they fixed it.

LOVE My Breville Pro!!
I believe this is the best toaster oven on the market. I say that because I have had several brands through the years and none compare. I had the oven almost like this one from Breville for several years and when the Pro came out with the light I was thrilled. So I passed my old on to a friend. I could not be more satisfied. Highly recommend. It is worth every penny. I appreciate Sur La Table, shipped same day I ordered.

Beyond Expectations!
I researched this oven for weeks, including visiting Sur la Table several times before deciding to purchase. I have not used my range oven since bringing my Breville home. I have baked, broiled and roasted with it and been amazed at the results. I love having it counter heighth and it is so easy to clean. I also recommend the cutting board to store atop the oven. I love everything about this oven!

The best there is; But it could be better
The additional features this top of the line compact oven has make it more than worth the cost compared to cheaper versions. Every function is valuable and works well.

How would you like to DOUBLE the volume of this oven? Just buy an additional rack and the Sur La Table pan set if you don't have comparable ones and you'll be able to bake TWO pans of cookies, TWO pizzas or roast TWO pans of veggies. or reheat heat or slow cook TWO pans of food at the same time.

Missing are an adjustable leg to even out uneven countertops and a clock timer.

Great for toasting and cooking items.
I like the way unit toast bread, bagels without burning. Have also used for warming items and cooking portions suited for a smaller oven. Recommend as an alternative to larger wall ovens.

not too happy
Yes it is very convenient to be able to use it instead of my oven however, the preheating is way off. I set my oven at 425 degrees and when I hear the beep indicating its ready, the temperature reads 200 degrees only, I keep preheating till i get the right temperature on my oven thermometer. Quite inconvenient ....it should be happening. Is this an issue anyone else encountered or something is wrong with my oven?

Why did you choose this?
Sur La Table Store
We've been looking at toaster ovens for awhile now; i received an email from you and the maker was suggested, i clicked on and it was on sale w/ free shipping; I still wasn't sold until I "chatted" with Jessica and she gave me great information and finally before we ended our Live Chat I asked her a the WOLF brand and she was able to answer that question as well. Jessica made the difference!!!

Have they removed the teflon PFOA interior coating on this new model?
suzanne h on May 31, 2015
Best Answer: No, they haven't. The interior is still nonstick.

After it has preheated and you are baking, does the top element come on when the temp. is maintained? the current one I have does this and thus the tops of muffins and casseroles get too brown.
JoAnne S on Jul 13, 2015
Best Answer: Being that the oven operates in "Convection " mode during baking, the heat is more evenly distributed. This is to say a more even heat overall. Things bake quicker and more evenly with convection baking. Practicaly speaking, do not put items too tall in the oven that they are close to the top element.. ( Touching namely).

Does it fit and cook well with a 9 X 13 pan?
A shopper on May 25, 2015
Best Answer: This will depend on your pan. A 9x13 won't typically fit since those are interior dimensions & this oven will fit a pan that's 13.25" max.

Is the slow cook option safe to leave on overnight or while away?
A shopper on Jun 14, 2015
Best Answer: I made chili in a cast iron pot. The lid was too tall so I used aluminum foil, set it on low. The top of the chili was blackened and this was on the low setting. To be safe, use only when home and observe the results before treating it like a crock pot. I believe this oven is much hotter than a crock pot, but, this cast iron stuff really heats up. :)

How loud is the oven when cooking with convection? Our deLonghi small oven makes a fair amount of noise.

Is cleaning up easy, like splatters from roasting a whole chicken or broiling a huge steak/s?
Della W on Aug 10, 2015
Best Answer: No spatters from roasting are easy to clean, but with that said I did manage to clean the oven w/a soapy dishcloth, wiped down w/plain water, then dried w/paper towels. It was helpful that the crumb tray pulled out & was washable at the kitchen sink. I did clean the oven before using it again so none of the grease baked onto the sides of the oven. I love this oven because of its roomy interior compared to other ovens I've owned.

Does it toast bagels on both sides?
A shopper on Aug 23, 2015
Best Answer: The manual says "The BAGEL function crisps the insides of your cut bagel while only lightly toasting the outside. This function is also ideal for toasting crumpets or thick sliced specialty breads which require one side to be toasted more than the other." "If you like your bagel halves equally crisp on both the top and bottom, we recommend using the TOAST function to toast your cut bagel."

Can this replace a microwave's functionality? For example, would it pop popcorn?
A shopper on Sep 14, 2015
Best Answer: No. A microwave works totally differently than an oven. This item will not pop popcorn at all, probably won't boil water very efficiently, and is much slower to reheat leftovers or defrost frozen food. It will bake and roast and toast, similar to what a regular oven does. For me, it has taken the place of my big oven, but I still need the microwave for certain tasks.

Can the oven be used to dehydrate? Given the low cooking temps and ability to cook for several hours, it seems like it should do a great job.
Lisa L on Aug 13, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Lisa, I can not say for sure. I would think it would be possible on the slow cook setting. The oven has a low and hi for slow cooking and time wise is 2 to 8 on hi, 4 to 10 hours on low. Most dehydrators temp ranges from 95 to 160. I think if I were going to experiment I would start with a small amount. The book that comes with the oven does not give either the hi or low temp. I hope this helps.

I'm having trouble deciphering the difference between the Breville Smart Oven Pro and the Breville Stainless Steel Smart Oven. Can you help?
janice z on Dec 2, 2015
Best Answer: Hi, both ovens are stainless. The Pro is an updated version. It has a slow cook function, and for me the addition
of the oven light made it a real winner. The light was the main reason I upgraded. I gifted my older one to a friend. I have to say I love the Pro. I would buy it again and again. Hope this helps.

Does the toaster work well?
Carla M on Dec 15, 2015
Best Answer: It works great, has many different settings like toast, bake, roast, broil, pizza, bagel, cookies, reheat, warm, slow cook. And 3 different Rack levels. Plus it is deeper than my previous toaster oven so I can fit in more. It also has a convection component where the fan allows for faster baking.

I'm lovin it!

use to reheat rather than using a microwave?
A shopper on Oct 27, 2015
Best Answer: I love the reheat function. It is for ten minutes at 325 degrees. The time can be adjusted. For me it works so
much better than the microwave. It is so easy to dry things out in the microwave. I love everything about my
Breville. Use it at least once a day and usually more.

I would like to replace a useless microwave that resides in an opening in one of my kitchen base cabinets - wood on three sides and a granite countertop above. Are there minimum safe distances from potentially combustible materials?
Ed Y on Sep 10, 2015
Best Answer: This is by far the best small oven I have ever used, but the sides do get hot when in use. The manufacturer recommends a minimum of 4" on each side of the appliance and 6" above. The top can be even used as a warming tray.

How long does it take to make toast?
A shopper on Jan 2, 2016
Best Answer: There are several darkness settings for toast - bagels -etc. that allow you to choose. The time is determined by the number of slices - pieces and darkness that you select. It consistently toasts better than any other toaster oven I've ever had (and I've had several). I can't say enough good things about this oven.

Is there a required minimum distance from the top of the exterior to the bottom of an upper cabinet?
A shopper on Nov 21, 2015
Best Answer: I have between six and eight inches. I had to move the oven because it was below the cabinet w/my bread & cookies. It was noticeably warmer than would be preferred. I moved it to the cups & saucer cupboard.
Heat rises......and the top of the oven keeps things warm. ( Plates; baked goods etc. Look at it as a warming capable device.
It will prolly dry out a cabinet to some extent! I doubt it would cause a fire, though I do believe 2" would be too close for comfort.
