Wonderful power for such a small torch!
This was my first time making crème brûlée, and I wanted to torch it, naturally. It fills up easily once you figure out how (the instructions can be a bit vague). It takes a little longer than other torches might, but for the price it's a good buy! I would definitely recommend!

-Some notes-
-Hold the torch upright when lighting.
-You can buy the butane in-store behind the counter.
-Refill outside the first time you do it-it may release fumes.

I used this to toast marshmallows for cupcakes. It worked well, seemed to do what it needed to. I think you get what you pay for. You have to pull down the safety and then pull the trigger, which was a little annoying cause it died out a few times. I didn't use it for longer than 15 seconds per marshmallow in fear of burning down the house.

I need a little torch like this for toasting marshmellows on desserts. It'll be so much easier to then to toast them and then transfer them onto the dessert, like I've been doing. It's too difficult. Now I will be able to have the toasted marshmellows on the dessert without the sticky clean up!

One of the most affordable options for kitchen torches. I wanted something cheaper since I have never tried it before and don't want to invest yet.

Is there any adaptor for gas refill?

It is not fit with normal butane refill. I wasted lot of gas.
Hiroshi on May 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: There is not a gas adaptor for this mini torch. It requires butane.
how do you refill the torch?
Peter on Oct 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I filled the torch, but it did not work. Instructions were very vague. Switch would not move from off position , so could not use at all. Fortunately, credit issued immediately upon phone call.
Does this come with fuel?
A shopper on Oct 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No, these don't come with fuel.
Is the flame on the mini torch adjustable

Question related to the mini torch. Is the flame adjustable?
A shopper on Dec 11, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the flame on this torch is adjustable
How to turn a torch on ?
A shopper on Aug 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Pull down the metal thingy, then pull the trigger. You can let go of the metal thing after it's lit, it's for child safety. I find it easier to hold it straight upright when I light it. It makes it easier to light.
how do i know if the torch is refilled enough?
A shopper on Feb 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I refill it until some of the liquid gas comes out the bottom of the torch tank. Usually filling only takes a few seconds.
For the Mini Kitchen Torch, where does one get the refill butane cartridges?
A shopper on Nov 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The torch doesn't use cartridges, it refills like a lighter. You buy a can of compressed butane and refill into the base of the handle. You can get the butane at drug or convenience stores, typically near where lighters are sold. They are usually tall, skinny cans, and have enough butane to recharge your torch dozens of times.
