Great for Homemade Ice Cream
I have been looking for a container that would be good for storing homemade ice cream. The glass storage containers that I have left freezer burn on the ice cream after only a day.

When I saw this product at another cooking store the price was $19.95 and I was hesitant to buy it at this price. When I saw it at Sur La Table for $14.95, I decided to give it a try.

First off, no freezer burn as of 5 days. I like the shape as it goes with the flow of the ice cream scooper. It is also stackable and a space saver in the freezer with its elongated thinner shape. Another great feature is the non slip bottom.

So far so good. Headed back to Sur la Table to get another one

May have solution for person who has lid pop up
I've discovered that the lid only goes on in one direction. I've had my lid pop also and discovered that I had the lid facing in the wrong direction. Line up the indented edge of the bowl with the slightly pointed edge of the lid and you should have a good seal.

Useful product
I make homemade ice cream often in the summer and usually store in quart size Chinese takeout soup containers. When I saw this product I ordered one right away. I thought the design was great and that it would make scooping easier. I saw that this product was dishwasher safe so I ran it through once before using. I'm not sure if that was a mistake. I find that the cover is a little hard to close and pops up a little so I'm not sure if I have a completely tight seal. I think this item should be hand washed.

Works perfectly
This container is perfect for your homemade ice cream and sorbet. I LOVE the shape, it fits so nicely in the freezer. I've not had any issues with the lid. The insulated container freezes the ice cream very effectively

All of the reviews I have read are very good for this container. Mine? Not so much. When I put the container in the freezer and it froze, along with the ice cream, the lid popped up and air gets in. I can't get the lid to fit back into the container. The tub is only half full, and I checked for chunks of ice along the rim but everything is ok. I must have a defective unit
