Terrific Tomato Knife Upgrade
You can't beat the price for this wonderful set of knives. I needed to replace my tomato knife that I purchased at another kitchen/cooking store that had not worn well over time. I am so HAPPY with my new tomato knife and paring knife from Sur la Table. Both are extremely sharp and cut beautifully, clean-up is a snap in the dishwasher, and the blade guards guarantee their longevity

Love these knives - great set for a great price!
I am a big fan of all of the Kuhn Rikon knives, and this set does not disappoint. The serrated knife cuts through tomatoes like buttuh, and the fork on the end is a nice touch. The curved paring knife is something I've been looking for for a while. It is simply the best knife for mangoes, hands down. It also makes quick work of any other fruit you're in the mood for, too. But the absolute BEST thing about these knives (other than their wicked sharp edges that seem to stay sharp for a long time) is the blade sheaths. I love to be able to toss them in a picnic basket or in my camping kitchen tote an not worry! These knives are fantastic, you will never regret buying them.

very pleased with the set and love the lime color
they are sharp so handle carefully, cut myself because i WAS cutting w/o using a board . so my fault and using the smaller one, the beak paring knife. I would get again

Can these cut veggies for stir fry?
di n on Mar 7, 2015
Best Answer: I would not use these for harder veggies like carrots. I suppose you could use the curved knife for bell peppers or celery, but the serrated knife is pretty specifically for tomatoes. I like the curved knife for mangoes and other soft fruits. The Rikon paring knives would be a better option for general veggie prep, in my opinion. I have 5 or 6 of those and use them for all kinds of things.
