Chips too easily
Ordered an entire set of Mykos dinnerware based on reviews and the fact that it is made in Portugal. Have been using it less than a week, and already with normal usage there is are small chips on the cereal bowl and an appetizer plate. I expected better because of the price, which is more than the Noritake dishes I used for 5 years with never a single chip from normal use - only if I dropped a dish did it chip. The Mykos are beautiful, but I give them a year. I am so disappointed. Buyer beware

good dishes for the price
I hesitated to buy a full set after the ""chipping too much"" review but I haven't had that problem - have used the dishes for several weeks and no chips yet.

The glaze is imperfect - especially in the bowls, there is some odd discoloration in the bottom of these. Many of the plates have tiny pockmarks in the glaze (perhaps from bubbles during firing?) that are noticeable if you hold the plate at a certain angle. I decided to keep them, however, because I love the rustic look - and they are relatively inexpensive compared to other rustic dishes I looked at
