Description

Enjoy the tastes and aromas of Parisian-style baking without leaving your home. These flaky, buttery croissants are crafted with only the finest all-natural ingredients. Allow frozen croissants to rise overnight, then bake for a delicious, savory treat.

Web exclusive: Available online only.

  • Manufacturer: Gaston’s Bakery
  • Includes: 15 ready-to-bake croissants
  • Made in USA
  • Ingredients: Unbleached bread flour, butter, all-natural yeast, white cane sugar, dry milk, salt
Baking instructions and tips:

  • Take the croissants out of the freezer and let them rise overnight; leave on a baking tray on a kitchen counter for 6 to 8 hours. Time will depend on room temperature.
  • Gently brush on egg wash before baking (scramble an egg in a bowl, add one tablespoon of water and brush the mixture on top of each croissant with a pastry brush).
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and bake for 15 minutes. Let croissants cool before serving.
  • Using a Silpat will keep croissants from sticking to the pan.
  • For ovens with a proofing setting, allow croissants to thaw completely at room temperature, then place them in the oven to proof at 90°F (check on proofing croissants regularly to monitor proofing progress).
  • Convection cooking will bake croissants more evenly. When baking in a convection oven, be aware that cooking times may be somewhat lower and monitor croissants to prevent over-baking.

Buttery goodness!
The croissants are soooo good that I felt compelled to write about while I'm still licking the buttery goodness off my lips! I think the last time I had a croissant this tasty was when I was strolling the streets of Paris. I'm so happy I can now make these any time in my own home. I also like how simple they are to make. Good stuff!

Simple & Amazing
Waking up to the smell of freshly baked croissants in the morning is simply unbeatable. My mom has been giving me these as a gift every winter for the past 5 years; I am so excited to have finely found them on-line. I put them out the night before right before I go to sleep and bake them in the morning. They are amazing! I have shared these with everyone because it truly makes the day better. Forget donuts in the morning, these are way better

Totally Delicious
The best croissants I've ever had! These were light, flaky and very tasty. I was impressed with the flavor and texture of the pastry, buttery and lightly crispy outside with a soft tender inside. Definitely recommend them

Simply the BEST!
These are absolutely fantastic! They were super simple to make -- just let them rise overnight and then bake in the morning. The flavor and texture was unbelievable; as good, if not better, than fresh croissants I've had in Paris! I will absolutely order them again -- best ever

Average Croissant
These croissants fell a little flat for me. They didn't have that super buttery flavor you get from a real French croissant nor that exterior crunch with all the flaky layers. Even though you could bake them fresh at home, they weren't that much better than going down the street to the local bakery

So delicious
I just ordered these for the first time and I am smitten. Like other reviewers, these cook up beautifully and the are so buttery. Yum! I just ordered more for myself and for birthday gifts.

Do you have allergen information for your croissant products? In particular wanted to see if any of them are made in a plant that processes peanuts.

Baking frozen croissants - one at a time?

I assume I don't have to bake all 15 at once. Is that correct? (I am writing about the frozen croissant offer.)
A shopper on Aug 11, 2013
Best Answer: No, just pull out and proof as many as you need at a time. Be sure not to put them too close together on the baking sheet
