There's not a lot to say about this thing. It's quality is immediately apparent when you first pick it up. It'll probably last me decades, which is longer than I'll probably be using an Aeropress to be honest. Cold brewing seems cool. Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about either. Cholesterol is also elevated by stress. And not drinking coffee stresses me out. Plus, caffeine is addictive and creates a physical dependence, but we still drink coffee.. sooo... yeah.
This is another tool in your coffee making tool chest. There are pros and cons to all methods. Reports on cafestrol that one reviewer mentioned are mixed: on one hand it's been shown as an ANTI-carcinogen (reduces risk of cancer) on the other, its been shown to possibly increase bad cholesterol. However, other factors in diet, exercise, and stress have a larger impact on cholesterol. Paper filters remove most of the cafestrol, but they may also transfer other residual chemicals left over from the paper bleaching process. Bottom line: this product works as advertised. If you're worried about your health, eat some fresh veggies , go for a walk, and vary your coffee making methods.
Only paper filters - filter out cafestrol an ingredient in coffee that raises ones cholestrol level.
The regular paper filters in the aero press are so small and can be reused that the impact on the earth is really insignificant. Isn't taking care of ones body more important? Please tell all the facts
