Everything you want in a waffle maker
For the price, this makes some amazing waffles. Just the right thickness, fluffy on the inside, and as crisp as desired on the outside from the variable control (5 is ideal from my experience). The user guide comes with some great recipes too if you don't have any of your own. Absolutely worth the investment.

Delightful
Much more reasonably priced than some of its rectangular counterparts, this waffle iron makes lovely belgian waffles quickly and with no mess. It uses a very cheerful peep to let you know when they're ready, but the noise is not incessant and stops after a few seconds.

Why did you choose this?
Sur La Table Store
Have always wanted one. Good reviews.

Because it is a good buy I don't want to buy a really expensive one since I am 75 soon. I will not use it often, but still wanted one to enjoy for awhile. Cuisinart is a good brand.

Love the old fashioned, just the right plate serving size , big squares for butter/syrup or sour cream/jam waffle maker. None of this flip it over to bake, mess to clean up, to much storage room needed waffle makers. Simply, nice and easy.

How thick are the waffles?
A shopper on Jan 19, 2015
Best Answer: the waffles are thick belgian style. They are not like "Eggo" store bought frozen style which tend to be flat and thin

does this store on it's end or flat?
A shopper on Feb 1, 2015
Best Answer: This can store either way which is really nice! I have made both waffles and cornbread in it and they come out perfect every time plus easy to clean with a damp paper towel. So far I am very happy with it!!!

how do you clean it?
A shopper on Oct 13, 2014
Best Answer: Simply brush crumbs from grooves, and absorb any excess cooking oil by wiping with a dry cloth or paper towel.
You may also clean the grids by wiping with a damp cloth to prevent staining and sticking from batter or oil buildup. Be certain grids have cooled completely before cleaning. If batter adheres to plates, simply pour a little cooking oil onto the baked batter and let stand approximately 5 minutes, allowing it to soften for easy removal.
To clean exterior, wipe with a soft dry cloth. Never use an abrasive cleanser or harsh pad.
