I love this little guy. I have had a rechargeable can opener for years that finally quit working, then purchased a cheap corded one that I hate. I was just waiting for a battery powered one to come out on the market. This is genius! Just 2 AA batteries and I am sure they will last a very long time as I do not use a can opener much. Small size fits in the drawer easily. One push button on/off operates flawlessly
I have a broken arm, can this be used with one hand?

Best Answer:I don't see why not. Simply place the attach the Zyliss properly to the can you wish to open and press the black button. You'll notice a change in sound when the process is complete and the can is successfully opened. Simply press the black button again a lift the Zyliss. When you turn it over, the device should stop and you can safely remove the lid. I hope that helps! Best of luck!
It could be used albeit tricky. We have had a Krupps 404 for many years and love it. When we bought a winter home in Arizona, I tried to buy another Krupps and discovered they were no longer being made. My wife has severe arthritis and she can use the Zyliss. The Krupps is available used on EBay
Yes, you should be able to use with one hand. It's great. I bought one for my mom and mother-in-law as well. They bothe have arthritis and cannot use manual openers easily. I put this on top of the can, turn it on and do something else while its opening.
This can opener is hard to use. It has to be attached just right before it will start. After it goes around the can, it is difficult to get it to stop and to remove the cut lid. I do not recommend this product.
