So pleased with this machine
Let me start by saying that this is hardly a manual machine. I upgraded from a true manual machine and liked the feeling that I made the perfect drink. This machine really does do all the work. Moving the filter from one spot to another will not make you a barista. But it is so easy to use that making a latt is never a time-consuming chore, no matter how sleepy I am. I love being able to steam and brew at the same time. No more watching the thermometer in the milk and no more separate grinder! Clean-up is a simple wipe down and rinse of the tools (the milk 'gunk' wipes right off the removable steam head). It even has retractable wheels if you need to move it around on the counter! Plus it actually looks like an espresso machine...not a box with a digital readout and spout

After owning several machines...including other high-end ones, I was ready to give up. Then I found the oracle. Not only does it look awesome, it works amazingly well. No sacrifices, no mess, no lukewarm milk, no disappointment. I highly recommend this machine. The inventors thought of everything!

I've done a lot of research on this machine and after owning several Breville products from Sur La Table, I knew this was the right machine for me. I have been very, very happy with Sur La Table both online and at our Boulder CO store - thank you for offering this product.

when will Breville Oracle be available for purchase

Our Breville 920xl we bough 5 months ago was not working right out of the box. Sur La Table told us this model is being updated and we could exchange it when the new comes out (Breville had many problems with the 920XL and were addressing those problems with the new model). We see it is available but not through SurLaTable and we other is no longer working.Thank yo

I see that the bean hopper is removable - is there a way to purchase an additional bean hopper so I can fill one with caffeinated and the other with decaffeinated beans?
Mich R on Nov 15, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, you can buy an extra hopper and a lid (they are sold separately) directly from breville website.

i have only had my breville oracle for 2 weeks and it's telling my to dscale. I have no instructions on how to do this and I have only used it a few times. Why should I have to descale so soon? No answer in my instruction manual
A shopper on Dec 12, 2014
Best Answer: The two largest reasons for descaling are quality & quantity. If your water is hard & you're using your machine frequently, you'll have to do it more often. Descaling instructions begin on page 38 of the manual.

Wanting to buy the Oracle but making certain I can fit it on my counter. Clearance to bottom of my cabinet is 18" exactly. If that fits (but tight) I assume I would need to move it forward to fill beans? I've been doing that with my Jura Capresso that it is replacing
Dan U on Aug 18, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, you would need to move it forward to fill the beans. First, though, you need to unlock the feet which isn't a huge deal. Our cabinet clearance is just less than the amount needed so we have it positioned with the bean container out. I would take a picture but I can't see an option to attach a pic. We love this machine!

When you change the bean hopper, are there any beans or grinds in the machine left behind? I need to be able to switch to decaf easily, but don't want the first cup to be half caf beans.
Andrea W on Jan 9, 2015
Best Answer: The good news is that when you "unlock" the hopper, it closes the bottom of the hopper, so the great majority of beans will come off with the hopper. You are left with a small amount of beans still in the feed chute of the grinder. I emptied the hopper into a bowl and replaced the empty hopper and ran the grinder. The basket wouldn't fill completely, but you can just remove the basket and dump the half basket of "half-calf" beans (with attitude). I think then, you could fill the hopper with good beans and you'd get a full basket of your good beans.

Can I make tea lattes by using tea leaves instead of making an espresso using coffee?
A shopper on Jul 14, 2015
Best Answer: No. This would not be the machine. It has to use coffee beans since it's automatic.
