Description

ECO-FRIENDLY This beautiful and sturdy end-grain chopping block features easy grip handles for easy flipping and transfer. Manufactured in the USA from only the finest maple, each board is reversible to help prevent cross-contamination.

On top of that, the Boos cream finish creates a protective layer that prevents food and moisture from damaging the wood. To ensure the life of this heirloom-quality block, simply wipe clean with mild soap, water, and a damp cloth and reapply cream or oil when the board becomes dry or lighter in color.

Why did you choose this?

Needed new wood board, and wanted an end grain board to protect my knives. Picked 12" square, because after I cut out cardboard squares and put them on the counter, I was surprised how big 12x12 actually is.

12" square size, durability, easy on knives and two sided. One side I will use for cutting herbs and vegies; the other side for meats. Suitable for my small space.
Patricia M on Jun 6, 2015
End grain cutting boards are friendlier to your knife's edge. All my cutting boards (8 or 9 of them) were all edge grain or worst like bamboo, so I splurged on a real nice end grain board!
James B on Dec 3, 2015
It looks really nice and professional.

Can both sides be used? How does it differ from the maple end-grain chopping block? Advantages of maple vs. cherry?

Best Answer: I ordered two maple end-grain chopping blocks - one for a friend and one for myself. I also ordered and extra tube of cutting board conditioner for both and glad I did. We both love our cutting boards and yes, both sides can be used. I do not have the cherry wood and do not know how it would compare with maple wood.

Does this board have feet or does it lay flat on surface?
A shopper on Dec 4, 2014
Best Answer: The board lays flat on the countertop without feet. It allows two sides of cutting.
The board is heavy and there is no problem with slipping on the countertop. I have two Boos blocks and love both of them!
