Disappointed in less than a year performance.
I have three of the 8 by 6 inch dishes and no crazing or cracks so I suspect there may have been a problem with the glazing on my 12 by 9 inch It baker. It developed crazing lines that became cracks with the dish finally braking in two. I have been using it for months so I no longer have the receipt. I doubt that I will purchase a Sur La Table brand replacement. It was not an expensive item but I did like the color, size and yes, it looked Italian. Disappointed.

Fabulous!
Love these dishes! Scalloped potatoes come out perfectly in them. Oven to table. Simple elegance.

Sur La Table's beautiful Casserole Dish
I had an issue with my original casserole dish crazing and then completely cracking in half. I love the dish and ordered another one. Sur La Table took care of the issue with the old one. Very happy with the outcome. The dish is beautiful and any recipe I bake in this looks beautiful as well.

Does the 12" length include the handles?
A shopper on Oct 6, 2015
Best Answer: The 12" measurement is the top of the pan (actually just over 12"). With the handles it is nearly 15"

When I received the set of 3 several years ago, I recall reading that you had to season the dish prior to first use. When I used the first dish, it broke in half in the oven so I have not used the two remaining since. I am having a party this weekend and want to use the dish to make Lasagna but need to know if I need to season it first or what can I do to prevent it from breaking in half?
Christine F on Jan 4, 2016
Best Answer: Hi Christine, I have not had to 'season' these baking dishes as they are not cast iron. I have used my large and small one many times without any problem. Make sure it's room temperature before putting your lasagna together and before putting it in the oven.

Can this be put in the freezer?
A shopper on Nov 17, 2015
Best Answer: Yes but you will need to warm the dish to room temperature before placing it in the oven to bake
