Why did you choose this?
Sur La Table Store
Needed a bigger diameter base to fit most drink dispensers, most you find are only 9" which doesn't' fit majority of dispensers sold.

ADDED TOUCH MAKING THIS JAR FAR MORE FUNCTIONAL TO PLACE A GLASS UNDER THE SPOUT
MARY-LYN S on Aug 7, 2014
need to have beverage jar elevated so that it's not hanging over the table making a mess

If you're buying a beverage dispenser with the spigot at the bottom, make sure you order a base! I purchased two (not from Sur la table) that didn't come with stands. The only way to get a glass under the spigot for serving is to place them right at the edge of the counter. No matter how careful you are, you'll have drips. I'm hoping the base will provide enough height that the drips will end up on the counter and not the floor

How big is the area where the beverage dispenser sits

I'm assuming the dimensions are the widest part of the base and not the inside dimension of the area where the dispenser sits.

Best Answer: The area where the beverage jar sits is 10 1/4"" in diameter
