Great Versatile Pot
I was given this pot as a gift several years ago and it was so handy I just purchased it as a gift for a friend. It is so much more than a pasta pot. Wonderful for making your own homemade broths - just discard the bones in the basket and you have a pot full of broth. Couldn't do without this pan.

Nice heavy bottom pot.
I needed a stock pot with a heavy bottom to make jams, applesauce, etc. This one has the capacity and the weight to do the job!

HUGE and perfect for pasta AND steaming veggies
The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating rather than 5 is that it really is HUGE!!! 12 quarts is a lot of water with a lot of cooking capability. I actually love my new favorite soup/pasta pot. As always Sur la Table has produced an item my kitchen can't do without. The quality is excellent and now if I can just figure out where to store it...lol...I do love it!

bad construction, but good size
Along the edges of the pot are tiny little slits where my chicken stock has leaked. I would keep it for the steamer and pasta insert but this is a big enough problem to avoid using it in the future - returning it.

Is this pot made of 18/10 stainless steel?
A shopper on Jan 11, 2015
Best Answer: I bought this for my daughter-in-law, and I never opened the shipping box it came in. All I can tell you is that it is quite heavy! My daughter-in-law is very pleased with it.

How big is the pasta insert?
Linda F on Apr 27, 2015
Best Answer: It is nearly as large as the pot. You can cook LOTS of pasta in this pot. I have done two 13oz packs of pasta in the pot at a time. I do like to have the pot close to the sink when lifting the insert out!

I just received my new Multicooker and tested it out with plain water. As soon as it started boiling (less than 1/3 filled) water/condensation started spitting out from under the lid. This was just water, but if it were broth or beans, it would be a huge mess! Does this happen to anyone else?
shiela p on Jan 30, 2016
Best Answer: Is it possible lid wasn't on correctly? I love mine and haven't had any issues with the lid.
