Description

No matter what your preferred brewing method—French press, drip, pour-over or high-end espresso machine—you’re not experiencing everything your beans can offer without a quality burr grinder.

This burr grinder crushes coffee beans uniformly without generating the excess heat produced by spinning-blade grinders, preserving delicate aromas and facilitating even extraction. The 17-step fineness selector allows you to adjust grind from coarse to extra fine, while the quantity adjustor allows you to grind anywhere from two to 12 cups and shuts the unit off automatically when that amount is reached. Burrs are removable for easy cleaning with the included brush.

Burr grinder
Excellent product. I'm not a super picky coffee person: I don't have an espresso machine but I do like grinding my own beans. I like the features, it doesn't take up a lot of space and the price is great!

Functional coffee grinder
Overall thumbs up, but the canister to hold beans could be larger.

I was looking for the versatility and the good quality of the grind without any other extra features.
Gloria Z on Jul 18, 2016
Like Krups products and wanted a grinder with variable settings. Cheap grinder will burn the beans and not give as good of a cup of coffee.

2nd one, used the other one for about 10 years

It has a small profile on the counter, lots of grind and amount settings. Our last grinder like this lasted over 10 years.
Great Quality!

My Capresso burr grinder is slowing, afraid it is "on its last leg." This had a favorable review.
Ruth S on Apr 2, 2016
I use to own a Krups grinder and loved it, it was this same style but it had a powerful motor and always did a perfect grind. I ordered this one because i want to start grinding my own beans again and this one is a little bit better since it can control the type of grind i want.
Peggy M on Mar 22, 2016
I recently read that burr coffee grinders are much more effective than blade grinders for producing the best-tasting coffee. This model was reasonably priced and I'm hoping it will last for many years to come!
Maura M on Mar 16, 2016
krups is ok!
Linda L on Mar 12, 2016
mid range price good look and specs for grinding my coffee beans.
joshua t on Feb 25, 2016
Nice compromise between regular grinders and very pricey grinders. I have had excellent results with Krups products in the past.
Susan G R on Feb 8, 2016
Krups is generally high quality. Also, I like the stainless steel look, multiple grind settings, and large capacity. Burr grinder shouldn't overheat the beans while grinding them. Reasonable price.

It grinds my coffee

This is my second Krups Burr grinder. It is easy to use and compact in size.

looked best value for $ amount

Desperation. The Capresso I bought was a total failure. So let's try Krups. They seem to last.

I had this same grinder for about 10 years. The on/off button finally quit working. I would have had to send it away for authorized repair. I purchased another Krups grinder that I absolutely do not like. Then I saw that this was available; I am ordering it immediately. This grinder is so easy to use and is so less messy (the grounds on the newer one come out the front onto the counter top). I can hardly wait for the new/old grinder to arrive.

I purchased this same grinder about 10 years ago. Just loved the way it ground my coffee, fine.

Unfortunately it died about a week ago, but after searching for other grinders at this site and else where, I decided to purchase this one again.

This is the one Kathryn chose, and I had a coupon to use.

I liked the ability to grind different levels and that the coffee goes into a seperate container automatically.

i was advised by a coffee expert that this is the best burr grinder for the price.

Can someone explain what it is about a burr grinder that will make my home brewed coffee taste better versus using a simple, cheaper type grinder?

BEST ANSWER: The burr grinder does a good job giving me a consistent end product. I have found with my old conventional grinder that the ground size was more varied. In addition, in cases when I was making lots of coffee at one time, the conventional grinder got pretty hot and so did the coffee.
Has anyone noticed that the grinder gets warm when left plugged in?
adair m on Jul 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We found this grinder to be very untidy and moved to a simpler Krupp grinder where you load and replace the top and press down. I do not remember it getting too warm but we only used it for a half year.
How about using burr grander for oily coffee beans ?
A shopper on Jun 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I use the grinder for commercially roasted beans (normal bags of coffee beans from various stores) and they don't seem to be oily. I would think if the beans are very oily, it would eventually gum up the grinder. That might not happen on the first use, but I think it will build up and get gummy over time.
Can I grind dried spices like nutmeg (cracked first into smaller pieces), or cinnamon sticks, or nuts, in a burr coffee grinder?
A shopper on May 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, BUT toffee flavor is strong and will be noticeable in your spices. The spices will also flavor any coffee you grind.
