"Great pan, very long handle"
This pan looks great and I was excited to use it but alas, its handle is so long and angled upward to the extent that it would not fit at all in my broiler and barely fit on a diagonal in my oven, if no other shelves are loaded. I'm going to spend a little more for one that has two small handles instead of one giant handle

Love it!
I can't say enough great things about this pan. It's size and shape make it the ultimate go-to pan for pretty much everything. I used it just the other night to sear and simmer and then threw it in the oven to braise...amazing! As with any All-Clad item, it is build to last and the tri-ply construction enables even heat distribution. Buy it, you won't be sorry

Great Everyday Pan!
I use this pan on a nightly basis - it is perfect for roasting veggies. I love how the stainless steel gets the perfect caramelization on my onions. I'm planning on buying this pan for my friends wedding next month even though she didn't register for it. Its such a great size to make enough food for left overs (I hate a crowded pan). I definitely recommend!

What a great pan!
I love this pan!!! The high sides were a strong selling point. I love All Clad's quality. I used this pan as soon as I received it. It was wonderful! I own many All Clad products and this is one of my favorites. I would recommend this pan to anyone.

Very versatile
This is a great basic pan, I find myself reaching for it nearly every time I cook. It is deep and wide enough to make most meals for a small family. I'd recommend this pan for beginners that aren't sure which pan to use for new recipes - just use the weeknight pan and you'll be fine. It's a little heavy, but it needs to be in order to be a great product, and the handle is quite long, but it stays cool while cooking.
One note on cleaning - I used Barkeeper's Friend (as recommended) and it scratched the interior a little. I've never had that issue with Bon Ami (a similar powder cleaning product that smells much better and is found at grocery stores).

Brilliant pan!
I love multi-functional pans. When one pan can serve the purpose of 2, 3, or even 4 pans I am thrilled. This is one of those pans. It's a skillet, saute pan, saucier, braiser and soup pot all in one. All-Clad quality is best-in-class hands down so you know this pan is built to last. This is a great pan for one pot cooking. This pan will not disappoint.

It's a great size and I love to make 1 pan meals. I also love that it has the extra handle so it can be kept level when lifted and will be easier to maneuver when hot.

Why not? Great size. Versatile and can finish in oven. Almost went with Cassoulet pan but this fits the one pot meal bill easily. Fills a "hole" in my set.

Dimension on Stove top?

Dimension is given as 13"" excluding handle. But the sides are sloping. What is the diameter of the pan that actually sits on the cook-top? That is, the bottom of the pan

How deep is the pan? (Height given probably includes handle, rather than depth of the pan itself.)

Best Answer: I think this pan is between a saucier and a saute pan. It is not straight-sided like the saute pan, but the sides are higher than the saute pan. It is more bowl shaped.
