This sets the standard
This is the pan against which all others are judged. Granted, All-Clad handles are not perfect, but this skillet does everything well. I have used mine for years and consider it the hardest working item in my kitchen arsenal. Great for pan sauces

Who needs non-stick?
Just follow the directions, especially with regard to pre-heating, and this pan will perform better than any non-stick. And it will last longer since there's no coating to wear out over time. I use Bar Keepers Friend to maintain "like new" appearance.

Great purchase !
I bought this pan for three reasons:
1. it's All-Clad and known for quality
2. I wanted a lid with the pan
3. The great sales price
I absolutely love this pan, it does eggs 'over easy' perfectly. All I have to do is put on the lid, once the eggs are in the pan, and pull it off the heat.a few minutes later. The yolks never break...

Yes it is worth it
Always wanted an All Clad stainless but didn't want to spend the money. Well was I wrong. There's a big difference cooking with this pan in terms of how well and even it cooks. It's lighter than expected too.

We had a couple of questions so we called in to customer service. They couldn't have been nicer if they tried.

Buy one, you'll be glad you did. These things will last a lifetime. Built very well.

I learned some new tricks thanks to watching some of the videos provided for using the All Clad 12" fry pan. I thought I knew most everything, but they provided me with new information, and good information on cleaning and caring for the pan. All Clad I think is the best, and I will keep adding to my collection. It's a pan you can use a lifetime!

Awesome All Purpose Pan
This pan is great. We practiced using it in a Sur La Table cooking class and it was my favorite pan to practice using. It's the perfect size for cooking just about anything and it's not too heavy either. The quality is great. Just use enough good quality oil to coat the bottom before adding the food.

I'm converted!
No more non-stick pans for me, now that I'm over the learning curve I will never go back. Everything cooks beautifully in these pans and the heat distribution is perfect. Best part is they're made in USA. Like others, I handwash with Bar Keeper's Friend and my pans still look new.

My only negative is the handles, they are so long and narrow that I have a hard time transporting the pan when it's full of food. I definitely have to grab a pot holder and support the pan from the underside--which probably isn't a bad habit to have but I was surprised that these handles aren't designed better. Despite the handles I plan to eventually phase out my old cookware and replace with All-Clad.

My non-stick skillet that I've used for the past two years is starting to have problems. I cook with it daily and the nonstick surface (ceramic) is starting to peel off, creating a surface that is not conducive to cooking.

Love all-clad. One of the best cooking pans
patricia w on Jun 29, 2016
I'm replacing my non-stick Calphalon pans, and older inexpensive non-stick cookware with All-Clad stainless. After surviving cancer last year, I'm choosing clean foods and safer cookware to prepare it in. All-Clad was recommended as the best for this goal. The 10" pan will work well for preparing vegetables and meat.

I already have one of these and they cook very evenly and brown beautifully. When I cook for my family of five, I don't want to crowd the pan. With 2 of these I can cook all at once in both skillets and be done.

All Clad skillet

Is the base of the featured All Clad 12 inch skillet 12 inches or is it the top?
DDeb L on May 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: AllClad skillets are measured across the top.
Can I use the stainless steel all clad on an induction cooktop?

can you use the stainless steel all clad skillet on an induction cook top?
Jane Connor on May 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, stainless steel is compatible with induction cook tops. I think All Clad only has one line, MC2, that has inner stainless with outer brushed aluminum that cannot be used on an induction cooktop
What is the diameter of the interior cooking surface (the flat part, not including the sides) of the All-Clad 12" stainless steel skillet?
A shopper on Oct 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The cooking surface diameter is about 10".
Other than the lid, how is this product different from this product? http://www.surlatable.com/product/PRO-819664/All+Clad+Stainless+Steel+Skillets Seems like the products are the same, (tri-ply, stainless) except the one WITH the lid costs less. What am I missing?
David G on Aug 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is no difference other than the lids. The skillets with lids are only cheaper because they're currently on sale, while the open skillets are not.
Oven safe to what temp?
William S on Mar 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have not used the skillet in the oven but given its heavy duty construction I would say good for 500 degrees at least. It is a well constructed skillet most certainly not a lighweight
Will you please confirm the exact All-Clad model number for this item? Thank you.
Haddon on Oct 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The 10" model number is 41106.
The 12" model number is 41126.

A shopper on Dec 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No, it's the same pan.
Can this pan and lid go from stove top to oven?
Pamela J T on Feb 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes - no problem with either going into the oven. All materials are stainless steel.
Do you Giftwrapping?
A shopper on May 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Gift wrap is $5 per package.
Does this pan react with acids like tomato sauces?
Seema K on Dec 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, it has not reacted to any acidics that I have cooked in it. This is one of my favorite pans, it cooks evenly and cleans up like new every time! I also love have the option of a lid for my pans.
What is the diameter of the interior cooking surface (the flat part, not including the sides) of the All-Clad 10" stainless steel skillet?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I purchased a 12" All-clad skillet and it measures 12-1/2" across the top, outside to outside. Inside at the bottom it measures 9-1/2". The 10" skillet has the same side slope so I think you could safely assume around 7-1/2" at the bottom of that skillet.

Quality of the skillet I bought is very good.
can you use this in the oven?
A shopper on Jan 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the entire skillet, handle and lid are all metal. I have used it in the oven for a fritata. Not sure what upper temperature limit is but have used it at 350 degrees.
How many quarts is the 12 inch skillet pan?
A shopper on Jun 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 6 cups, a quart and a half, cones to about 1/2" to 3/4" below the rim.
Can one just buy the lid for the 10 inch skillet?
Valjeanne J on May 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We carry an AllClad domed lid that would fit.
Can I put it under the broiler?
A shopper on Mar 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If it is the stainless steel skillet it is broiler safe; if it has a nonstick coating it is not broiler safe.
Can I use the All-Clad skillet on a charcoal grill?
Lawrence W on Feb 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: yes
I am looking for a skillet that fried eggs won't slide to the sides. Will this work? Is it flat?
A shopper on Dec 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I haven't fried eggs in this pan, but the bottom is flat, so I would think it would work well for fried eggs. I fry other foods in it with olive oil or butter. Foods don't tend to stick. The pan cleans easily with a short soaking time with Dawn. Great pan!
what is the height?
A shopper on Oct 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: 5&1/2cm high
