I have an older pan just like this. It is a great size for soups, dumplings, etc.
Rosalie N on Jan 9, 2015
I have other Scan Pan items and love using them. I wanted a larger piece for soups and stews.
Kathleen E on Jan 22, 2015
I think Scanpan is the best cookware and I needed a larger pot for making a large batch of soup.

how does Scan pan compare with LE Cruset for dutch ovens ?
A shopper on Nov 17, 2014
Best Answer: I own several scanpans including a dutch oven and large casserole pan. I am amazed at how well the scanpans brown and sear meat. I have never had trouble with high heat hurting my scanpans. I once severly burned a slice of meatloaf in my sauté pan, with no harm to the nonstick. It did leave a temporary mark, but that faded away after about 4 weeks. That said I would never use the very highest heat. (I use an electric stove top)

I just broke yesterday the glass lid for my dutch oven Scanpan Classic. The pot itself is just under 13", what size lid do I need? 12.5" or 12.25"?
Manuel G on Feb 18, 2015
Best Answer: To find the correct size lid, you want to get the diameter from inside rim to inside rim. Whatever that measurement is, that's the lid you want.
