Not non-stick
This looked like a good idea but after 2 tries, I am once again so disappointed.

I used canola oil spray-on in the cups the first time. The eggs were over-cooked but I can adjust that. The biggest negative is that the cooked egg sticks to the stainless steel cup.

The 2nd time I tried coating the cups with solid Crisco but the cooked egg still stuck to them.

I have spent so much money over the years trying to find the perfect and easiest egg poacher. I bet I have bought at least a dozen machines and gizmos that I've either thrown out or donated. I've tried the swirling-in-boiling-water thing plus many other methods. I wish someone would invent a microwave egg poacher that would leave a soft yolk. I've tried everything people suggest but nothing is consistent.

Use coconut oil
I love poached eggs and these were so simple to use! Spray with coconut oil, dip into boiling water, with vinegar, crack your eggs and gently pour into the cup and cook 5-6 minutes. ~ The eggs slide out beautifully! You may need to soak and scrub to get the stainless steel clean. It says they can go in the dish washer, but I haven't tried it.

Sur La Table Store
looks easy and good for making single or double eggs. I like the way you can hang it over the side of the pan.

It's a gift for my soon-to-be mother in law. I got her simple poaching rings but they don't work well...I wanted to see if she could use these...
