Lives up to it's promise
These cake pans are terrific quality and definitely fulfill their promise. The first attempt baked up perfectly and I will definitely try more colors next time. The most important thing is to be diligent about shaving off the rounded cake tops so all 5 layers stack evenly! I used cooking spray and a wooden toothpick to loosen the edges and all 5 layers popped right out of the pans. Definitely worth the investment to create something fun and fancy looking without a baker's degree!

Small Layer Cake Pans
This set is perfect for any special occasion when you want to make a spectacular presentation for any occasion -- but do not need or want something that will have leftovers for the next two weeks. Suited for smaller gatherings. All the flexibility to take any recipe in another direction -- up! I happily give it my highest recommendation.

This product is a show stopped.
I baked this cake as a birthday day surprise. It was a wonderful surprise with different shades of pink and the birthday girl was so surprised when she cut into the cake.

Super fun
Great addition to your baking collection. Divide your recipe up into equal parts, ladel in and bake. The cakes bake quickly as they are thinner than a normal batch. Makes for a fun display, especially when you use coloring to differentiate the layers and add some delicious icing. Fun!

I won't have to use dental floss to cut through cake layers.

My daughter enjoys making fancy cakes. Also it's nice to be able to make a small cake with a couple of layers, and freeze the ones you don't use for later.

pan sizes

Just a quick double check, the description says the pans are each 6 inches x 3/4"".... 6 inches is not a big pan.. a regular pie tin is larger than that, so these would be little cake layers if this description is true ... please verify for me the actual sizes, because the photos make the pans looks much larger than 6 inches?? Thanks.

Best Answer: The pans are 6"" in diameter and 3/4 in deep. My sister got one and we made a cake in it on Monday night. It might seem small but it makes a full cake! Think building up rather than out

how much batter do you put into each cake tin?
A shopper on Aug 17, 2014
Best Answer: I found via Wilton's site, you use 3/4 cup of batter per pan.

where is the recipe?
A shopper on Feb 8, 2015
Best Answer: There is a pamphlet inside the box with the pans with many different ideas...one box cake fills the five cake pans which can be all baked at one time. There are a few tips and color recipes for the icing and cakes, showing the color you can make each layer of cake...It was quite the adventure!. I would share a photo of my first attempt but it would be too embarrassing for me.

What size cake keeper should be used to keep the cake in, after it is baked and iced, etc.? I'd like to buy a cake keeper that would fit the height, but don't know what size to purchase.
Frances M on Feb 25, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Frances - I have a standard size cake keeper and this lovely little tall cake did not fit! So you need to find a tall one, I am still searching. Hope this helps you.......
