"Worth every penny! GREAT 4 QUICK, DELICIOUS MEALS!"
I was hesitant in buying this product because of the price but it was $10 off, so bought it. I am SO glad I did! I you are a fan of smoked fish, poultry & meat, this is for you! I bought some brine for salmon (and one for poultry) online and soak the filets overnight, add some tasty seasoning, crank up the smoker and 25 minutes later, the BEST smoked salmon ever!! I make enough for leftovers and crumble the cold, smoked salmon on salads, eggs and pesto with pasta! YUMMMMM! AND healthy! Also, fantastic smoked turkey breast!! It actually permeates the meat with smoky flavor! Makes for great turkey sandwiches! Told one of my friends about it and SHE bought one and LOVES it too! Again, worth every penny! Comes with a recipe booklet. OH, and JUST saw them use this very one on Food Networks' ""Chopped""

Stovetop smoker
I purchased my stove top smoker a year ago. I have cooked fish, beef, vegetables, pork, poultry etcc... and absolutely love it.

Since then, I have purchased three more for gifts. Mom, Mom-n-law and sister. It is great for the days you want BBQ for just a few people. Or probably bad weather and can't get outside

Easy Smoking for Beginners
I've been wanting to try smoking for a long time and decided to get this one since it's been written up and highly rated.

It comes with a set of 4 flavored wood chips and recipes which was really helpful for a first timer!

I decided to make Anne Malone's smoked salmon pate and it was the easiest thing I've ever done! There was a really nice smokey flavor that wasn't over-powering. The recipe calls for it to be refrigerated, but my family loved it warm spread on crackers, straight out of the food processor.

Will definitely be making for future gatherings!

Got to have it:)
Received this smoker from a friend for my birthday! Absolutely LOVE it! It's easy to use, quick preparation and clean up, and the smell is fabulous as it cooks. Have never bothered to write a review before, but would HIGHLY recommend this product if you're interested in smoking food. Can't say enough good about it! As I write this review, listen to the sizzle and smell the aroma of wood smoke! Yum:

can this smoker be used for cured meats like making bacon from pork belly?

Most people I know who make bacon, ribs or pastrami use a large Traeger smoker. Will this work as a substitute for a big smoker
A shopper on Apr 8, 2013
Best Answer: This can be used as a substitute for a larger smoker, but it must be done carefully. Please keep in mind that you should not smoke your bacon at a temperature over 200 degrees, or it could begin to cook. If you need to smoke larger items, you can do so by removing the lid and using a tent made of foil for the top of the smoker

Can this smoker be used on a gas grill outside?
A shopper on Mar 26, 2013
Best Answer: Yes! Here are the instructions per their manual:************SMOKER ON THE BARBIE. The smoker can be used on your gas or charcoal fired barbecue. On the gas barbecue, please follow these instructions:1. Remove the top grate in the BBQ and see how close you can get the smoker to the heat source.2. Follow the BBQ manufacturer's instructions and turn the heat up to high.3. Open the top of the BBQ and make sure you have followed the setup guide for the smoker.4. Place the smoker on the BBQ at the point closest to the heat source and cook as per the guide. Cooking times may vary dependent on the distance the smoker is from the heat source and some experimentation may have to take place to perfect the cooking time.5. DO NOT CLOSE THE LID OF THE BBQ. The smoker requires the heat source to be at the bottom in order for the wood chips to smolder and create that delicious smoked flavor you have been looking for. This is a very successful method for using the smoker.************The manual says you can use on the campfire too

What happens to all the smoke if I use this in the house?my husband is resistant to letting me get one because he thinks it will smoke up the house.
Sheree H on Mar 7, 2015
Best Answer: I really love and enjoy using my indoor smoker w/ some frequency. It only uses a tbsp of wood chips to create the smoke and it has a nice tight seal which keeps the temperature consistent and the smoke trapped in the unit which is the core of its efficiency. Minor whisps and traces escape, but in opinion nothing of concern. One of my absolute favorite items I use it for is to make smoked mash potatoes. I cut small boiler potatoes in half, cut side down, and smoke for 20 minutes, then boil the potatoes and prepare as you normally would. Amazingly, none of the smoke flavor is lost when the potatoes are boiled. Good luck, experiment, and use w/ confidence.

do you need water in pan?
A shopper on Jan 22, 2015
Best Answer: Not unless you want to steam something. If you are smoking your food, you use only the chips. I like this smoker a lot. So far we've fixed seafood and pork indoors with good results. Enjoy!

Cameron Smoke

Does it cook the food completely or just smoke it?Does it smoke up the house
A shopper on Dec 17, 2012
Best Answer: Industry top rated! Smoke fish, meats and vegetables to ensure moist and delicate flavor. The drip tray collects fat while this smoker is at work, indoors or out, tenderizing salmon or halibut to perfection. Made of heavy-gauge stainless steel, it comes with four kinds of wood chips and a 32-page recipe book. This smoker is designed to smoke fish, meats and vegetables. Smoking meat is cooking food very slowly, usually at temperatures of 225 degrees or less over wood coals with thin blue smoke doing all of the flavoring. This item is designed for indoor and outdoor use so it should not fill your house with smoke

Can a large brisket be smoked in this or just smaller pieces of meat?
A shopper on Jan 14, 2015
Best Answer: You can, without the lid, but you will need to use heavy tinfoil and form a tent to seal tightly around the edges. Im learning that the trick with this device is to get the smoke going quickly on the stove (using a little more wood than what the instructions say) and then transferring to a preheated oven at 225-250 or so.

Can this product be used on a induction stove top?
A shopper on Jun 19, 2015
Best Answer: I have a gas cooktop, so I don't know about the induction stove top. My understanding, however, is that you need a specific type of cookware to generate heat on this type of stove top. My guess is that it would not work.
