Just got the "bug" to make my own ice cream. The containers are cute, colorful, cheerful, and work great! The lids fit very well and do stay soft in the freezer. I bought one of each lid color and will be getting more. My recipe makes enough for two containers, and what fun is having only two flavors in the freezer?
I love making my own ice cream and I needed containers to store the extra ice cream. This was made specifically for that purpose and keeps the ice cream fresh and protects it from icing. The Tovolo look great and were a good bargain too.
These are the best containers for storing homemade ice-cream! The lids never get hard and they are easy to remove and replace. Keeps the ice cream from icing up in the freezer. Had purchase 2 and have since purchased 2 more. Love these.
yes, the label is like the one in the picture- but i just have to say, don't let that put you off- these are fabulous containers, they make your ice cream look very professional and they work really well- i bought nine of these for a family reunion in the park, and people were so impressed- they didn't even realize i had made the ice cream myself at home. i love these containers!!!!
yes, these come just as pictured with "ice cream container for your homemade frozen treats" printed on the label. tovolo also makes these without any label whatsoever, though they are hard to find (think ebay) and not offered by sur la table.
The label is exactly as pictured. However, it is paper and I believe will peel off. (I bought them as a gift to go with an ice cream maker and haven't given them yet, so the label's still on, but I'm sure it will come off.)
Yes, the labels are exactly as pictured. I also purchased some oblong containers for ice cream by the same manufacturer which have no labels, take up less space because you can stack them. See below. Good luck !
What is the best way to label the container with the flavor of the ice cream?

Best Answer:The best way would probably be to get some sort of chalkboard sticker to put on the containers (you can get them at any craft store) that way you can change the name with chalk when you change the flavor. I have 2 containers but sometimes I feel like I really need a third because when I make a batch it usually fills up about 1.5 containers sometimes 2 containers depending on the recipe. The other option would be to use masking tape of some kind with isn't as aesthetically please but it would get the job done most likely. Just make sure you put the sticker or the tape on before you put any ice cream in the container or in the freezer otherwise it will have trouble sticking.
Sorry to say I haven't tried to label them yet! I'd probably use a label (like you'd put on a file-folder) and stick it to the lid. I have a feeling it'd wash off pretty easily when you're ready to re-label.
